Volcanoes! (National Geographic Readers)

Great little book on volcanoes. Shorter than I would have liked but my 7 year old loves it.

National Geographic Kids are great books for kids who love non-fiction! It gives them so many facts and they are able to learn so much about topics they are interested in!

My first graders LOVE Nat Geo books. They were so excited to see this on my shelf. Although they can’t read it all, I think they can read enough and the pics are great.

Easy reading for children. Very good and informative. Keeps their interest.

This is another high-quality children’s book from National Geographic. The photographs and graphics are absolutely terrific. The book provides a straightforward description of how volcanoes occur and give some examples of where they have occurred. It discusses different kinds of volcanoes and even gives you the story of Crater Lake.

I used this book in conjunction with a volcano experiment. I did the classic baking soda and vinegar volcano. This book had a lot of interesting facts and I felt like my seven year old was able to retain at least a few of those facts. Currently with online learning I’ve been looking for a way to better engage my child in productive learning activities. I felt like this book was short enough and easy enough for him to read (second grade reading level) while also being factual enough for even the average adult to learn something from.

I got this as part of my son's 4th birthday gift, which will also include an Uncle Milton's ice and fire volcano and a volcano movie, since he's obsessed with volcanos. The pictures are wonderful but it will also be interesting to read since it has so many great facts. We already have the weirdest sea creatures book and this one seems to be just as wonderful. Plan to buy more of this wonderful line of books.

No complaints. Like on the pic

I bought this book without knowing the level of the contents. It turns out that it is too elementary for the nine -year- girl for whom I bought it. she has a great interest in volcanoes and has been Googling in depth on the subject a lot. So she knows a lot more than the information given in this level 2 book. She thinks I should have bought her a serious adult book on volcanoes . She likes the graphics though. However, this was the only National Geographic book on volcanoes that I spotted on the Amazon platform.

My only disppoint is the delivery associated
