We have had two of these under the roof of our boat house for 10 months now and have had no new birds nests during this time (they like to build nests on top of the corner pilings, under the roof). The wires have not rusted/corroded either, which is great as we are on the salt water. They spin/move with the breeze and are very effective at keeping birds away. They are a bit pricey, but worth it!
