Yes, if it is connected to power and you switch it to “off” it will be off not cooling or heating. Another thing to mention, it cycles, so when it reaches say 125° it will cycle off for a few minutes and cycle back on to maintain the temp. I don’t use it for cold but I can assume it’s the same way

Can i keep hot dogs and Hamburger??

The unit can hold about 40 degrees that is a little warmer than your refrigerator is usually but if You are Going to BBQ and only need it to stay cold for a few hours I would say yes to hamburger and hot dogs, we used it to keep cheese, yogurt and drinks cold for days without any issues. Remember the unit I is only able to keep the box 35-40 degrees below ambient.
