These clippers look small but work great! I have struggled for years with my medium/large dog's very thick nails. She hates having them cut and I always end up hurting her with the more standard plier type and grinders terrify her. However, these guillotine style clippers were easy to use, cut like butter and she barely noticed the process. No splintering of the nails or anything, a very clean cut. I was worried they wouldn't be strong enough or that the blade might accidentally cut her toe--- all my fears were unfound. Highly recommend.

Used on my golden puppy who hates the nail grinder or anything electric. Easy to use, quick and efficient, and works as expected. Good and sharp which is important for safety and comfort. The Spoiled Princess Lucy approves! Aren’t these gals so cute?!?

Works pretty well. They take a skill and a very cooperative dog. The blades are easy enough to replace but difficult to find. Would like thicker handles to make the tool easier to hold. My dog has weird nails of different sizes and the nail clippers cut the nails well without breaking. I can also use them to round off the nails, preventing sharp edges and helping them to grow back evenly.

I have a 102 lb lab who isn’t a fan of getting his nails trimmed. These are SOOOO much better than any other brand (clipper or “silent” drill) I have ever tried!!! It took me only 10 mins as opposedd to the typical hour. They’re sharp, they don’t snag (freaking him out) and they get the job done. Highly recommend (obviously with a container of qwik stop nearby).

I have a mixed Pit Bull and Corgi pup who up until these clippers would pull away or cry something fierce as in I could hear him outside of the groomers. After noticing the groomers just stopped doing his nails and not telling me, I had to find something to do his nails. After all the research I landed on these guys and they are beyond awesome. My pup has super thick and dark black nails that any other clippers get stuck on or crush, no wonder he has always been scared and runs the other way. Not any more. I spent 2 days playing with his paws because of the Corgi in him and the Corgi way of don't touch my feet lol I then had my wife distract him and I was able to cut the nails with not a single howl or whimper. These things are soo sharp that unless you have low hand strength, anyone can do it! I like that I can line up the nail and I do a quick, hard squeeze and it flies through the nail like butter. To say I am impressed is an understatement. I'm going to buy the smallest set for my other dog now because I could do her nails in 1/3 of the time to grind if I had a smaller pair. These are razor sharp and can handle a nail up to a half inch wide with ease! I'm not sure if needed but since they slide, I squeezed on these during the 2 days I played with his paws so he could hear them and not be scared. When I got to use them it was one fluid motion with 0 resistance and most importantly even the brittlest piece of nail DOES NOT CRACK or CRUSH!! I will never use another groomer for nails or anything snipper wise than this Brand and Design. Beyond Impressed with them, it even made me and the wife feel soo much better than before knowing that we were capable of helping our animals.

These are well made! This brand is consistent - I've been using these clippers for years. These latest ones are great! Easy to hold on to. Sharp. The mechanism is very simple and makes cutting dogs nails very easy to do. They are not heavy or cumbersome. Do not cause the nail to split.

Have to say these are probably the best clippers I’ve ever used. They made the job fast and easy and a nice cut on the nail, very impressed would recommend 👏

First up I will say these clippers do cut, you can use them out of the box and they will do the job. I bought these clippers because I remember using my mother's set from years ago. However the blade on the pair I received is nothing like as sharp as I remember the old ones being. Having a look at the details of the blade it appears the the hole forms are cut or drilled quickly leaving a slight high around them. The flat side of the blade is problematic in that it isn't flat. I would have expected this surface to be ground flat. The fact that it is not machined may be why the Amazon review scores are so variable. In my picture I've applied blue (a thin metalworking paint) to the blade and rubbed it over a 1000 grit knife sharpening stone. You can see the high areas as silver where the blue has been rubbed off, the low areas remain blue. You can see the center of the blade edge where the majority of the cutting force is going to be exerted is slightly low. This will cause a rough cut as the nail is pinched between the edges not sliced cleanly just like using blunt scissors. This low area was more pronounced when I took the cutters out of the box. After trying to cut one of my dog's nails I decided something was off and I had begun leveling out the blade before deciding to write this review and taking the photos. If you look at the photos of replacement blades on Resco's website you see that the profile ground at the end of the blade is quite different to the ones I received which I find quite curious as well.

Easy to use, especially on a kitten that never had his nails clipped ever. Have used these nail clippers in the past and are the only ones that I'll buy. Great product, extremely fast shipping coming two days earlier. Thanks for shipping so quickly it was very much needed!!

Does what it’s supposed to. Groomers did t want to trim my newfoundlanders curled nails not my German shepherds. These had it done in minutes. No problems. Quick and easy use.

So much easier & more comfortable for my pooch than other clippers that pinch/ squeeze the nails at the side. Very happy.
