“Weighted” in name only. Slides, rolls, and fights you on fold-up
Used with a DJI Matrice 30T over several flights (short grass and asphalt, ~8–12 mph wind). The pad wouldn’t stay put. Despite the “no stakes required” claim, it slid and even rolled when rotor wash hit; I had to add sandbags just to keep it in place. The bright surface confused downward sensors and caused hesitant/aborted auto-lands until I moved off the pad. Durability was disappointing: rim scuffed on day one and stitching showed early fuzz. Folding is a chore... spring ring snaps back, pinched my fingers, and the carry bag feels undersized with a sticky zipper. “Collapses to 1/3” sounds nice, but it’s still a bulky coil that’s annoying to pack. For an 8-foot pad, stability is the entire point, and this misses it badly. Returned the same day. I wouldn't use this landing pad even if it was free, let alone $430, which is absolute price gouging. I understand you're from LA, but that does not entitle you to skyrocket your price 10,000%, which is absolutely insane.
