Question 1

From what country do you "source" your chicken, salmon, turkey, trout, herring. Please be specific for each listed above.

Accepted Answer

For our Perfect Purees (which are made at a state-of-the-art facility in Thailand), the ingredients are sourced locally from Thailand, with the exception of beef (Australia) and wild-caught fish (regions include the Gulf of Thailand, Western Pacific, and Indian Oceans). For our products made in the United States, our chicken and turkey are sourced from the United States and Canada, our Trout (which is farm-raised per recommendation of the Monterey Bay Seafood Watch Program, as many wild trout populations are endangered) is sourced from the United States, and our wild-caught fish (which includes salmon and herring) are sourced from various regions depending on the migratory path of the wild population throughout the year.

Question 2

Where are these made?

Accepted Answer

Our Perfect Purees are made at a state-of-the-art facility in Thailand that is also the world's leading producer of canned tuna for human consumption! Our producer has an uncompromising commitment to product quality and sustainable sourcing. As with all of our products, all of the ingredients in our Perfect Purees must meet strict standards for quality and safety before being used in the product, and each finished batch is tested for quality and safety before being released to market.

Question 3

What is the Protein content percentage please

Accepted Answer

Hi Jyl! Our Perfect Purees for cats are 8.4-9.3% protein on an as-fed basis.

Question 4

What is tuna extract? Does it have more/less/same amount of mercury as tuna meat?

Accepted Answer

Tuna extract is simply the pressed liquid from cooked tuna fish! This is a natural flavor ingredient. With regards to mercury, all of our incoming ingredients are tested for quality and safety, which includes heavy metal testing for our fish ingredients. Ingredients must meet our strict specifications before being used in our products.
