My expansion tank on my RO system stopped filling up about 6 months ago. This had been installed for about 5 years and was US Water brand RO system. It never really had great pressure at the faucet but worked ok. When it stopped filling the tank I tried new filters, new membrane, and any of the components that might help with pressure. I even took pictures of the whole setup to US water to see if they could see something I may be doing wrong. All to no avail, still little to no RO water!! At wits end I bought this permeate pump and it solved the issue. After I bought the permeate pump I found a youtube video made by US water as to how to install. Super super easy to install and now have perfect water pressure at the faucet and the tank fills as the system was designed. If you have pressure problems on your RO system and have eliminated any obvious problems you should give this a try. 100% satisfied with this very reasonably priced solution.

If you have an RO system you should have this pump. I had a pressure pump that did not help at all and ended up leaking and ruining a door. After removing the pressure pump and installing this Permeate pump, the RO operation improved greatly. Better flow and pressure, more efficient and does not use any electricity.

Instructions are hard to follow, had to find a proper instructional video for installation, i think it was the third video i found that had the correct process. Process may vary depending on filter system, i installed on a express water ROALK5D, i think the one thing i can say that may help others is that you know the pump is running properly if you hear it clicking, see the brine out flow lines pulsing and not a consistant flow. If your flow restrictor is in the wrong place or your lines are wrong you will most likely see a constant flow from you waste water or brine out line and the pump won't click.

Bought the ERP 500 to replace an ERP 1000 that would not seal at one of the fittings when installed. The ERP 500 installed successfully and is performing excellently. A new ERP 1000 has been purchased but may not be necessary.

Work great !! Easy to install on my iSpring RO 100 system. Pressure increased and faster tank refill.

Bought this to reduce waste water usage on new RO system. Water is expensive here and we are on a septic system so this should drop waste water usage from about 5-7 gallons per gallon to about 1. Also noticed that the system recharges much faster with the pump.

The pump has worked great for over year to bring the system to pressure but now it does not turn back on automatically to recharge the system. I do not have an auto shut off valve. Presently, system will only generate a normal amount of RO water if I disconnect and reconnect the brine in line from the permeate pump. Water flows quickly from the brine line after I disconnect it and as soon as I reconnect it, I hear the brine draining to the drain and the permeate pump starts clicking and working as it should. It will fill up the tank easily with low TDI water, but as I use the water from the tank, it won't start producing water again until I do that same disconnect and reconnect on the brine in to the permeate pump.
