If these are anything like my HWK jacket they are rugged and a great value. Every bit as rugged as more expensive brands. I did experience an accident in my jacket, and I wish I had these pants at the same time. I ended up with road rash on my leg, but only bumps and bruises on my arms. However that being said, I cannot review these pants short of saying they are rugged, and come with an zippered insulated liner. When I bought these, it was highly suggested that you buy the size based on the size pants you wear, because these go over your pants. That's a negative. These would be fine as pants by themselves, but they simply were too tight trying to fit them over jeans. My suggestion is get a size up for comfort. Additionally, at the bottom of the insulated leg on my pair, where there should have been a button and elastic to keep the leg in place the elastic was just tied to the pant leg. the button was missing. I have to wonder if these came from the factory like this, or were they a return that someone tried to fix.

I want to start by saying that for $50, you are getting way more than your money’s worth with these pants. They have some flaws, but nothing that would be a dealbreaker, at least for me. The first flaw that I’ve found is that while there are two zippered air vents, I can feel no airflow whatsoever. I’ve found that airflow and waterproof is impossible in the same garment unless a liner is involved. I wanted these because I get caught in pop up rain showers from time to time and was tired of having to stop and get out the rain gear, then 10 minutes later, having to stop and take it off. I liked the idea of just closing the zippers, but it’s like wearing rain gear at all times now. But at least I can wear shorts under them. I see that HWK sells a different pair of pants that have a removable waterproof liner. I’m sure they have better airflow when the liner is out. But having to stop and put it in would have been even more cumbersome than the old way. The second thing that I think could be better is the leg zippers. Even when wearing sneakers, they have to come off in order to get the pants on or off. If the zippers went further up the leg, this wouldn’t be an issue. Lastly, I bought a HWK jacket at the same time, and the zipper where they are supposed to attach to each other will not connect. I don’t know if this is a flaw with the jacket or the pants. But they don’t work together. As they were intended to be over pants. I got one size above my normal waist size. Even with the Velcro on the sides pulled tight, they will be at my ankles on 10 seconds. Since the jacket won’t connect to them, I solved this by attaching suspenders to them. I took them out in the rain today just to see how waterproof they were. I stayed completely dry. Not one drop made it through. So what they lack in airflow. They make up for in water resistance. My wallet was in one of the Velcro pockets and my cell was in the other. Neither one had a drop on it. While this review might seem kind of negative, I am very satisfied with them for what I paid. Maybe the quality control is not up there with Klim, but at 1/10th the price, they are 90% as good. Hopefully they last a few seasons.

God this for my daily travel from North Alabama to Birmingham, Alabama and back (192 miles). Material seems to be strong and still flexible. Strap for adjustments at the lower legs and the knee. Have a removable cold weather lining and adjustable waist. Roomy legas and tight. I would like to have a way to use a belt. Will try for durability and adjust my stars

Before I bought these motorcycle pants, I read many reviews. But for the price it was worth the risk. I used them to commute to work and trail ride with my dual sport motorcycle. Surprisingly they have yet to allow water through and I've road in some very wet conditions. I live in the pacific northwest so most of the year i ride comfortably with them. With the exception of late spring through summer there a tad warm. I have owned them for two years bought a size bigger to allow to fit over my normal pants. Recently bought a pair for my daughter. The biggest drawback is the stock armor is cheap, but there cheap riding pants. I swapped the armor for D30 CE2 Armor that I searched out to fit correctly. They are durable, during a trail ride I did get to test that out and they are tough. I think it's a great product would be a superb product if armor was better.

Pants are comfortable and appear to be well made. Pockets seem to be overkill but are fine. Buy 1 size larger inseam because the leg lengths ride up (get short) when on the motorcycle. Other than that, happy with purchase.
