This is my second purchase of these stairs
I have two Honda CRVs. In both cars the back seat is folded down and has a dog bed on top. First I purchased a ramp to allow my dog to enter at the back. It is a 6 foot long ramp folded into three sections. It is sturdy and heavy. Then I got one of these stairs. Not high enough for a back entry, but perfect for a front door entry: the top step of the stairs is even with the bottom sill of the door. The front seat is a fourth step, then my dog springs between the front seats onto her dog bed. This is NOT high enough to enter directly into the back seats with the dog bed on them. These stairs are very light weight and seem flimsy ... BUT my 85 pound dog can use them without difficulty or any collapse. They can easily be set in the foot well in front of the passenger seat, or, if you have a passenger, they can be set behind the dog bed in an SUV. I used to move the stairs from one car to the other, but I've decided to buy a second. I like this inexpensive but worthwhile solution to taking my dog with me almost everywhere I go. She loves to ride in the car.

Nice sturdy dog stairs!
I have tried the softer dog stairs and bought these because they had a higher reach. I was worried my yorkie might not like them but he conquered them like a champ! They have rubber on the bottom which helps it not slide. The little carpet pieces on the steps are a bonus too. Very good quality!

Good but for small pets on a non-slick floor
We bought these after one of our dogs had to have a leg amputated due to cancer. We wanted her to be able to climb on her bed, cushions and outdoor couch easily. We received these quickly, the price was right and they are very light. However, when we put them up, we noticed they are not very sturdy. My dog tried to use and because she is not stable the stairs swayed a bit. Plus, we didn't have on carpet so the slide around a little as well making them not great for our dog. However, I will say they are good for smaller pets that have balance and if you keep it on carpet...or a floor to prevent from sliding if they try to push off. These are very light so they will shift easily. For the price, they are a good option if you want something to easily move, light and a way for your animal to get up onto the item.

Not the best, but would work for travel (car)
It's not the worst, but it's not great. The positives are that it folds which makes it easier to travel with and it's light weight. My first pet stairs was very similar to this and worked fine over 90% of the time, but once in a while collapsed if my dog rushed up them in some unbalanced way. I didn't like that. Eventually a kid broke it by walking on it. Kids can't resist, and this plastic style doesn't hold up. For this particular item tho, I chose to buy "like new" from Amazon warehouse. I received a dirty item with pet hair and a hairline crack in it. Testing it out I noticed that it collapsed to easily, like my first stairs. I returned it because it was obviously not in "like new" condition. My review is based on the product tho, not the Amazon warehouse experience. I may eventually get something this style again but would only use it for travel. I'm just not a fan of the design for everyday use. The style I've liked the best blew my mind, it's a fabric zipper cover over some kind of cardboard like material inside, but impressively, almost unthinkably strong! It's crazy. I swear I can stand on it and it would 'probably' be fine. It gets climbed on by a two year old and no problems. I got it at Petco but see similarly described items on Amazon. I don't know what genius figured out how to configure cardboard to support so much weight, but I'm impressed. It's as light as a pillow too. Look for that! Seriously! Unless you need something to travel with, bc this kind don't collapse. And last note, if you're buying stairs for the first time, you will more than likely need to train your dog to use them, regardless of style. It takes treats and patience.

Please buy something better; this product isn’t safe!
Please, folks, if you can afford better made wooden pet steps, buy them. I purchased this very model & it is not safe. It’s too light meaning it easily slides out of place. Further it won’t stay open & collapses while your pet is using it. Caveat emptor: let the buyer beware. Remember that you get exactly what you pay for! If you are shopping for this, it’s obvious that you care about the safety of your pet(s). So this is NOT the product you want. I didn’t purchase this to be stingy. As a senior on social security; I am often stuck choosing between food and basic necessities. My pets are my primary concern.. (Like the needs of children.) If you have a bad back like I do, lightweight products can be a big help. Nearly all of my dogs come from homes where they’ve learned to jump up & down from the floor to the furniture. Being tiny & frail, my chihuahuas are so susceptible to all sorts of orthopedic & spinal injuries, so I trained them to climb and not jump. However, these steps aren’t safe. My dogs are my world which would be shattered if something happened to them, especially if that something was easily preventable. I wish I had saved my money to buy a safer, more sturdy alternative. This item must be kept in place with some kind of stop like a brick. I jammed the legs open after it collapsed while my littlest one was climbing it. Even though he came through with flying colors, I nearly had a coronary!

FOLD LEGS OUT, TURN UPSIDE DOWN, SLIDE LOCKS FROM UNDERNEATH , LEGS WILL BE SECURE!!
My big boy cat with bad hips , uses these with ease from the first use, as do all of our other cats. FIRST EVEN IF YOU THINK YOU KNOW HOW TO ASSEMBLE IT, LOOK AND READ THE INSTRUCTIONS. THE LEGS WILL LOCK IN SECURELY, IT SHOWS SLIDE LOCKS ON THE BACK OF THE TOP STEP. IF YOU HAVE TROUBLE WITH THE SLIDE LOCKS ON THE OUTSIDE, ( I did and think some other people have too), JUST TRY MY EASY SOLUTION >>> I straightened the legs, and I did have trouble using the slides that are on the outside on the back of the top step, to lock the legs. SIMPLE SOLUTION: TURN THE STEPS UPSIDE DOWN , MAKE SURE THE LEGS ARE STRAIGHTEND ALL THE WAY , THEN USE YOUR HAND TO SLIDE THE LOCKS INTO PLACE FROM UNDERNEATH. JUST MAKE SURE THE LITTLE CHANNELS ON THE LOCK ARE SLIDING OVER THE LITTLE PIECES ON THE STEPS, AND THEY WILL GO RIGHT INTO PLACE, VERY EASILY AND WILL LOCK SECURELY. I would never take a chance on my pet family being injured , and I feel these steps are very safe Be sure to place them against, your chair , sofa, bed etc.as the instructions show, this gives extra stability. I have the steps on carpeted floor. If you have hardwood floors you may want to put a little area mat with rubber backing underneath the steps if them seem to slide. I have different kind of pets steps in another room , and to avoid slippage that is what I did, and no problem with sliding ever. My pets have used pet steps for a long time, if your pet has never used steps, just take some time and work with to show them that going up and down is not a scary thing and no time the will get accustomed to the steps. Make sure you buy steps the are for the proper size and weight of your pet. Also be sure to put the non skid mats that come with the steps on each step, they are easy install, peel of the back place in the proper area on the step, rub to make sure any bubbles are removed and pad is securely in place. ( I only had 1 or 2 small bubbles on one step, probably just from how a put it on.) Rub with your had to be check. I WOULD DEFINATELY BUY THIS BRAND OF STEPS AGAIN, WE MAY BE GETTING A NEW PET FAMILY MEMBER IN THE NEAR FUTURE, AND IF I NEED ANOTHER PAIR OF STEPS FOR IN THE BEDROOM I WILL DEFINATELY PURCHASE THIS BRAND.

Don't use on hard floors.
This item arrived without the stair treads in place, and after trying to attach them, one can see why. Other than saving themselves all the hassle of trying to attach the treads, there is no good reason for them not to have been put in place at the factory. It was a bit of a nuisance to have to peel off the backing and try to line them up in the recessed area on the steps. No one can say those threads don't stick. One would not line up properly, and when I tried to set it properly, a whole chunk of the underside of tread remained on the step, and now the tread looks terrible. It was a bear trying to remove that stuck chunk of sticky black stuff, and it was so damaged, it couldn't be put in place under the damaged tread. One should not use this item if one has hard flooring. It slips and slides when the dog climbs on and off it. My dog is a 4lb Yorkiepoo. She's terrified of it. Unfortunately, one cannot put some type of rubberized material under the feet to stop the steps from sliding. That type of material can damage hardwood or leave yellowed spots on vinyl floors. It should be fine on carpeting. After the problem with the treads, I can't return the damaged item. I'll keep working on trying to get the little dog used to it , but that doesn't do much good when it slides all over for her. She won't use it to get off the sofa. On the plus side, my rabbit likes to sit underneath the stairs, inside the opening, and attempt to chew on it.

Práctica
La compré para mi amigo Chihuahua, la escalera no es tan alta pero para la cama se acomoda bien, es practica y util aunque hay que tomar en cuenta que es muy liviana por lo que opte por pegarla al piso y sin problemas.
