easy to use
product worked well over previously finished boat with proper prep and cleaning, my biggest concern was with packaging. This is the third Qt. of product that i have ordered ( 2 of primer ,1 of finish coat) that the cans arrived dented, true there were no leaks but I feel that a little more care could be taken when preparing for shipping

Awesome Product!
Great product! Used as primer on semi-green pressure treated fence there was no doubt that it was a great sealer. Finished with sherwin-williams exterior paint. Great finish and quick drying time although I let it dry 12 hours before finishing. Coverage was good considering the green wood. Would cover great on kiln dried wood.

Quality in a can 👍
The hardest part of the job was the sanding. I sanded for 2 weeks because I wanted a very smooth surface. I first put on two coats of primer waiting 2 days in between and then two coats of top coat. The outcome was beyond my expectations. I chose to ignore the Amazon reviews about how slippery it was when wet. First shower I ended up going to the ER by ambulance. I did the splits getting out of tub from slipping. I used gorilla tread tape on tub floor and I'm very secure showering now. This paint leaves a beautiful finish just follow your directions carefully and you will be as pleasedas I am.

Make sure you plan ahead!
I'm glad I had experience painting before I used this primer (for the record, it was applied at 52 F, 32 pct humidity, with a 4" roller). The primer doesn't give you much time to work, so make sure you have a brush and everything else you might need at hand. I used roughly 3/4 of a qt. to cover my 17' canoe with one coat. I could still see some small surface scratches after I finished, which I thought might have filled in a little better (the boat was a mess before I did the fiberglass repairs, so I can't complain too much), but overall, I'd say it's a good product, and it did cover very uniformly. Before and after pics are shown. Hope it helps!

Incredible results in my shower shall!
This saved me thousands of dollars! I’ve trying to get a contractor come give me a bid to replace the shower stall, they never showed! So I came across this and thought I’d give it a try. -the primer is thick and settled on the bottom, my husband put an attachment on his drill and in less than 5 minutes, it was mixed and read to use, no big deal -it is extremely strong, we have no fan in the bathroom, 4 days later I’m still flying high 🤣 probably should have masked up or used a fan -I sanded the fiberglass shower with 220 grit, then used a cloth to wipe it off, then started priming. -cranked my thermostat to 75 degrees, the primer dried and I started painting within an hour. On my 36” shower, I had just enough primer to do the walls and pan with one coat. Then I used the Rust-Oleum paint and did only one coat, had leftover paint from my one quart can. It was close with the primer, I was definitely sweating running out, but one quart accomplished the job. -start to finish including sanding, primer, and paint, only took 4 hours -End result…. I spent $70 and it looks like a new surround, wish I had done it 2 years ago when I bought the house!

Do the prep, let it cure 72 hrs, it will save hundreds refinishing tub
Purchased for a badly worn fiberglass tub (tub had been previously refinished). Do the prep, rough and fine sanding, vacuum rinse and wipe down. Wear a good mask (organic) I use lots of oil paint and this made me loopy. Check out my soda bottle funnel to keep the spout from dripping in the tub (sweet). Roll it on with low nap mini roller, corner touch up with brush, let primer cure full 72 hours, sand primer coat, vacuum and wipe with mineral spirits. Paint on the sister top side coat (color of your choice), two coats and you might want to put in the grit for tub, finish is slippery. Wait the full 72 hours, I could only do 48. A good paint store may tint the primer for you (if they like you). Don't use a bathmat or at least take it it out after each shower. The trapped soap and mold under the bath mat will eat into the finish. Not right away but it will. There's enough primer in one qt. to do entire tub and surround. You would need two quarts of topcoat in order to do two coats on the tub and enclosure, especially tan over white primer. This was for my mother so she only got the tub done. Just kidding, it's a rental property and I don't want to spoil them. They'll be asking for an indoor toilet if I did the whole thing.

This is garbage!
This product is garbage. It arrived completely separated solid as a rock in the bottom half in a dented container. Stirred it up for about 20 minutes and it still had clumps in it that I had to strain out. This product was supposed to fill in pinhead size defects but I obviously know that it is not body filler. I had a freshly made fiberglass mold and wanted to try this primer and the rustoleum paint to save weight instead of gelcoat. Big mistake! I thinned this out as directed with 5% xylene thinner and sprayed it on, all it did was make the pin sized holes bigger it did not create a surface tension over the holes to fill them but avoided them. I followed the directions to spray this on as a thin coat. In my claimant and temperature this was to take A half hour to dry to touch and two hours before I could re-coat. I waited a day and came back and this stuff may be solid but is super gummy. It clogs up an orbital disc sanding pad in seconds and is almost unsandableand unless you want to remove it right through to the fiberglass. This project has wasted me two days, one day of application and one day of complete removal. Do not buy this!

Awesome to repaint fiberglass shower
Great when paired with rustoleum marine fiberglass paint. Our old shower looks awesome. Holds up great. NOTE: Refer to YouTube videos first on details of how to paint shower walls and safety tips. Very strong odor. Need well-ventilated area.

If you sell paint put on a Shaker before shipping!!
I received this can of Primer from Hoerr Racing Products today with a sticker on the lid noting that the product “settles” and mixing is needed. This primer was SOLIDIFIED not “settled”. I would guess this can sat on a shelf for a year before being sold. It took me 45 minutes to hand mix before it was useable. I get it that paint/primer can settle and require hand mixing but this wasn’t normal settling. If you sell Paint; put it on a shaker before you put it in the box PLEASE! 1 star for the Service; not the product!!

Covered well. Very thick sediment in the can so needed to be stirred using a drill attachment but not a big problem.

Crap
Not sure what happened to can, maybe froze, or way to old. Paint was runny on top and bottom of can, middle was like set jelly. Took to local hardware store for a 10 min shake in their paint machine followed by another 15 mins of stirring, shaking at home. Paying $80 for a quart then straining out lumps, goo parts for a final product of half quart was not what I ordered. I refinished a shower surround, would not recommend this product.
