Very simple to use, I didn't have any issues popping the clasps open.Took me about 30 seconds to extend my strip light for the extra 2 feet needed.I just scraped about 4mm of the real adhesive away from the strip light so the 4 copper contacts slip under the 4 prongs easily.Nice secure fit, very discreetly extends the lights.Bonus is I have 9 other clips so used one of the others to put together the second set of strip lights I had to purchase for the extra 2 feet.No issues whatsoever, if you're extending strip lights, make sure they are the same brand. I used Tp link (Tapo) smart wifi lights
