Have used this model filter for a long time on a Mercedes E350 and ML350. It has the quality i expect in an oil filter to help with the longevity of my engines. Materials used in the filter appear to be high quality. I use Mann filters on my other cars where applicable. The price is also acceptable for me too.

For this oil change, I did not go to the dealership. I bought this oil filter myself and took it to a local shop that handles routine maintenance. I only paid for the labor, which came out lower than using the parts provided by the dealer, and I felt better knowing what brand was going into the car. The technician installed it without any trouble, and there were no issues with fit or alignment. The seal went in properly, and I did not see any sign of leaking after the service. While waiting, I took a look at the old filter, and the new one looked consistent in structure. I mainly use the car for daily driving, and everything has been running normally since the change. For parts like this, I focus on fit, ease of installation, and how it performs afterward. Bringing my own part to the shop gave me more control over the process without making it complicated.

I ordered these and the ones I received are genuine. MANN filters are really excellent. Some people complain about the seam in the filter. It's how the filter is made and not a defect at all. When you do an oil change it's good practice to cut the filter open and check for the trapped debris. Cut the ends off and unravel the media. This is an area where you can see the quality construction as well as the media itself. I bought several for a new AMG M276.8 engine build. Was great to see that they do a good job of removing debris. After 1000 miles on my fresh engine rebuild (Nikisil plating over the crappy original AMG TWAS "NanoSlide" cylinders that failed) I was happy to see that all the debris was trapped in the filter. Ran it another 1000 miles and confirmed that the debris was non existent. Now I know my engine is solid. I only use MANN filters and I'm so glad that I can get genuine filters when I need them with Prime for a reasonable cost.

This is a great alternative to OEM oil filters. Lacks the threading you find on Mercedes Benz filters, which helps keep the pleats together, but still an excellent alternative.
