Comfortable, looks good
For a woman body 5'4" slim/average, small size works well. Black. I ride on a minimal racing saddle fit to my sit bone width. (Basically in the bike shop years ago, I did a test and measured it and we got a saddle with those dimensions.) The reason for a minimal saddle is so that I can vary the amount of padding I need with clothing (rather than baked into the saddle itself). Padding position The positioning of the padding is crucial on bike shorts. I tried a few others and had to return them. They did not place the padding where my sit bones meet the saddle. I ride in a more aggressive, racing position, and need the padding further back, because the ischial tuberosities will be extended farther back, and proximal hamstrings will be stretched. However, sometimes we shift position and sit upright (probably with no hands on the bars) to take a break, and the padding has to be more forward for that scenario. The width of the padding is also important. Others I tried were not narrow or wide enough, and my sit bones were against no padding. These are at the right width for me. Thus, it's important to wear these _on the bike_ and _while in your preferred ride positions_ before you commit to the purchase. Padding feel Comfortable. No seams intruding in the groin areas. I've also had shorts where the padding is too firm so I can't even feel the saddle anymore, which might work great for some people, but it made it hard to know where I was in space. I got so sick of those shorts that I came to hate riding and that's why I'm here-- finally found shorts that work again. The best shorts I've had were very simple, made by Performance, and were basically just padded underwear shorts, and for all genders. But I can't find those anymore. These ones are also not so slippery that I can't stay in my position. Some other reviewers intimate that the padding gets in the way when going from hover/up to seated. I haven't had this problem. I'll probably forget to update this review, so if it does happen to me later on, you'll never know. Soz. Shape and fit These are much more flattering than any women-specific shorts that I've had/tried. For whatever reason, they cheat you in women-specific shorts-- too short, too tight, too shaped. I had some where the thigh band was tighter than the rest, so it made your thighs balloon in the middle. Not the case with these. These are perfect. The length has a slimming effect. The unintentional compression is flattering around the thigh/groin. There's no real muffin-ing of the waist that I notice. Hopefully larger sizes are proportionally well made for larger bodies. My only complaint is that I wish they were more like underwear so that I could wear them under my Swrve cycling pants. But that's a different product entirely, and not one I'm sure I'll find again.

Sportneer Cycling Shorts for the Win!
This is a review of the Sportneer menโs padded cycling shorts. Pros: Quality of these shorts is good with nice padding, good fit, non-itchy material and a simple design. I have personally purchased these multiple times to match with cycling jerseys that did not already come with shorts. I also cycle daily on the Peloton, and this far, these shorts have held up great and made my rides far more enjoyable. Opportunities: I would say these shorts tend to run a little small so you would likely be well off ordering one size up. I am 6ft tall, 190lbs and I have found the XL fits me best. Overall: You really canโt go wrong with these cycling shorts. Price and quality is good.

Comfortable
These Padded Bike Shorts are comfortable and great for medium-length rides. The padding helps reduce soreness and the material feels light and breathable. They fit pretty snug and stay in place while riding. I wish these had pockets for my phone when I am taking a break at a coffee shop.

Great bike shorts
Great biking shorts. Padding is comfortable; sized just right. Overall sizing/fit is right on target as well. I will definitely be buying more.

Pretty decent shorts. The price makes them a deal.
I have been a cyclist all of my life, and in 40 years of using a huge variety of brands I feel like I can give these shorts an honest review. At this point I have mostly been rotating Pearl Izumi, and Aero Tech Designs shorts. These ones popped up for a very good price, and I thought I'd give them a try. Construction: The multi panel construction is similar to some of my higher end shorts, and the stitching quality looks identical. I like the mesh panels that โmayโ make them a little cooler to wear. The fabric is thinner than any of my other shorts. The legs are a little tight, but not too bad. The leg grippers are nice and understated, yet do the job and keep the shorts from riding up. Comfort: The one thing that kept me from jumping on these right away is the bulky โpadโ that they use. I hadnโt seen this in person, so it was just the photo that raised a red flag. As luck would have it the actual padding while it has some volume it compresses very easily, and is a non-issue. The primary purpose for padding in cycling shorts is to wick moisture away to prevent chaffing. These shorts do a fair job of it. I havenโt had any chaffing/burning in the 200 miles that Iโve put on these shorts in the last couple of weeks. Final Thoughts: For the price you can do a lot worse. I have had name brand shorts that are less comfortable than these, and others that fell apart very quickly. These are a very good deal for someone who is starting to put on extra miles, and wants to see if a true cycling short will make some of the pain go away. FWIW cycling shorts shouldnโt be used to fix a lack of padding/comfort from the saddle. If your saddle is uncomfortable you probably need a different one.

Not bad but understand what you're getting for $20
Biking apparel is ridiculously priced and it's easy to spend $100+ on a pair of biking shorts that probably cost less than $5 to manufacture. Worse, manufactures are constantly finding ways to ruin great products by reducing costs which ironically never seems to lower the retail price of the product. When these went on sale for $17 giving them a shot was a no-brainer. All-in-all they're OK but some things are annoying enough that they'll be relegated to "only use if absolutely necessary" pile. I'm 62, 6' tall, weigh 179 pounds, and have a 34" waist. I generally wear a size large bike shorts so that's what I ordered here. Overall quality seems quite good for the money but I find the fit to be odd. The shorts don't really stay in place all that well and the silicone "anti-slip gripper" on the inside of the leg openings do little to prevent the legs from riding up. They kept bunching up in the crotch and I found myself constantly trying to adjust my shorts while cycling. They even ride up while walking around and wrinkle and pucker after a couple of dozen steps. I think the issue is that they're made up of a small number of individual panels which doesn't allow the fabric to properly stretch in the required directions to prevent riding up and puckering. If I counted correctly, these are made up of 7 panels. By comparison my go-to Garneau Fit Sensor 2 shorts have 17 panels. The pad provides decent cushioning but doesn't go up high enough in the rear which makes them feel like I have a load in my pants when I walk around and makes it too easy to snag the shorts on the nose of the saddle. I've spent significantly more or much worse than these and at this price point there's not too much in the way of justifiable complaints. I might use these for short (less than 10 mile) rides. But for my typical 30-35 mile rides these are too bothersome and distracting.

Good padding. Ordered size down and fits well; padding stays where it should.
So far so good. Went contrarian on sizing and ordered a Medium - ignored the size chart that suggested a Large (I am 36-38 waist) and ignored reviewers who recommended sizing up one size from chart. I've had difficulty with every biking short i've tried getting the rear padding to stay in place where i need it while riding (i.e., between my butt and the seat). Medium perhaps a bit tighter than ideal in the thighs but not painful at all, and I can even comfortably pull the shorts over a pair of knee warmers that come partway up my thighs without constricting my thighs Most important, padding so far has been staying in the right place (i.e., against the seat ) and not shifting so that my butt ends up resting on the seat with no padding in between... Medium fine at the waist; not too tight.. Time will tell how durable these are but so far seem well made and good value. Update : have been wearing for 3+ months. Holding up fine. If order another pair, will probably order Large so a little less tight though Medium has been totally fine Another update June 2018 : have worn for two 100 mile events this year. Comfortable the whole way.

Good quality for price, but not made for thick thighs
They seem like decent quality for the price but if you can squat 405 these are not the shorts for you. I have 27โ thighs so I bought the largest size available and theyโre extremely tight

Quality padded shorts
These are quality padded shorts. The padding is well designed and makes for a smooth ride. Importantly, no loose points that create a rash. The M size fits like an M size should. I'll re-order these when needed. Very happy.

GREAT for woman TOO!!!
These "MEN"S" cycling shorts are ABSOLUTLY the MOST comfortable I have EVER found...AND I AM A WOMAN!!! I am 5' 7", and 137lbs., and I found the "men's" medium was PERFECT for me. These are DEFINATELY the VERY BEST for protecting my FEMALE groin area! I have tried EVERYTHING over MANY years, from new bike seats, to bike seat padding, to other "WOMANS" cycling shorts, but NOTHING had made ANY difference, until I stumbled onto these cycling shorts. I read the PAGES of positive reviews on eBay, especially from MANY women. and thought REALLY? No cycling shorts would EVER be THAT comfortable! BOY, WAS I EVER WRONG!!! They're GENEROUS, without being TOO bulky padding, is not only LONGER, but WIDER as well. The leg band, and waist band are not overly tight at all. The quality is GREAT, the leg length is better than any woman's cycling shorts I have found YET! The PRICE was also AMAZINGLY inexpensive, at $24.99 Canadian. THESE ARE THE BEST!! What are you waiting for?

Extremely well made
Honestly didnt expect much for a sub $30 cycling shorts but these are well made and fits great. No bad seams.Legs are silicone instead of bands, waist is comfortable and padding is thick.Maybe a tad too thick but over time it will compress. The contour fits great and looks really nice. Some people suggest going up a size.I usually wear small (30-32) but went up to a medium.Fits great but a bit loose around thighs and waist.Still very usable but I think in the future I order a small. So go with the size you normally wear in my opinion.Either way a amazing riding shorts for the price.I wore $75 shorts worst than this.
