Saunders Sacroiliac (SI) Joint Support Belt, Medium (Waist: 32" - 42")

I've been wearing this for 8-9 months just above the hip creases for at least a couple hours almost daily. My low back pain is gone. The anti-slip grip is very effective and can be a little uncomfortable on bare skin after a few hours, but I guess that's the tradeoff for zero slip. A few times I felt worse after wearing this and I think this is why: sometimes when I was pulling the belt tight using the rectangular D-ring for leverage, it was pulling my SI joints apart. So now after I pull it tight, I run my thumbs under the belt from front to back along each side, like I'm letting the SI joints back together, and that takes care of it. I also had some success with placing the D-ring in the back closer to the sacrum, but I haven't had to bother with that since I've been running my thumbs under the belt from front to back. My long term plan is to strengthen my core and hip muscles a ton so the muscles will hold the SI joints together, but until then, this belt has been my solution.

I wore this belt for about 3 hours, and it did give excellent support to my lower back, and decreased the pain in my SI Joint. However, soon after I took it off, a very itchy welt developed where the strip of silicone was on the belt - this strip is to keep the belt in place against skin. Now days later, I still have to take an allergy pill to stop the welt from itching, it literally goes the way around like the belt did. Does an excellent job but please test first for allergy. I tried the belt with a clothing barrier but then it doesn't stay in place.

This works so well! I'm 5'1", 92 lbs, and this fits! It's comfortble, stays in place and is easy to tighten.

I had some SI problems and bought this brand on my PT’s advice. Hated it. They have a piece of stretching elastic where they connect that makes it impossible to fully tighten. You want to keep SI belt pretty tight, so this just ruined them. I think they did it just to add comfort, but I find a tight SI belt doesn’t really bother me, particularly if it’s helping reduce SI pain. So I put these in a drawer and never use them. Oddly enough, I ended up just using a cheap weight lifting belt the PT gave me. Works much better than this piece of junk.

Due to super sensitive skin I wear it over tight undergarments or yoga pants. It is great!!!

Yes, cheaply made and rubbery and wads up and kind of uncomfortable...but I am 8 months pregnant and my SI joint finally, after a lot of trouble, just gave out. I found myself unable to walk at all and had a terrifying afternoon of creeping along walls and hopping. While waiting to get back into physical therapy (she had recommended trying this, but trying to put it off as long as possible in order to not lose muscle tone because of the belt doing the work instead of pelvic girdle muscles), I ordered this with fast shipping and as soon as I got it on really tight, I could WALK!. Yes, it got uncomfortable at the grocery store on the bottom of my bump etc, but still, the difference between being able to turn over in bed, sit up or down, or walk versus doing none of those things...well, indescribable. The key is that the belt buckle thing works as a pulley/lever so you can cinch it really tight enough to hold the bones in place. My suggestion would be to try where you lie on your side and have someone try to push the SI joint back together - if that relieves your pain, this is basically like having someone apply that much force while you are upright. By the way, I measured hips at about 40-41 inches. I'm 5'1" about 128 lbs pre-pregnancy, probably 150 now, and this fit me in medium. Sizing appears accurate. I also worried about someone saying that curves mess it up but I'm pretty curvy and it was fine. Loses one star for the quality, but OMG totally does the job.

I have some lower back issues, and this is a much smaller and easier to use version than the big SI joint belts with the velcro and the straps.

Cette ceinture fait une grosse différence dans ma vie pour un problème sacro illiaque. Malgré que le stabilisateur n'est pas inclus dans cet achat, cette ceinture est conçue pour rester en place sur les vêtements. J'ai testé directement sur les sous-vêtements, tel que recommandé, et cela ne tenait pas en place. J'aurais aimé une couleur moins voyante, mais le produit est efficace.
