Great item - installed on an old Elite 3000 gate after a delivery truck had the gate close on it. Installation tips: I used normally open - test the connection of your safety loop to determine the right wires to use, use the 24V power from the controller board, install the reflector first at the same elevation as the beam and use the loose bolt adjustments on the beam unit housing to adjust rotation up and down - try and mount in a way that you can also adjust the x-axis left and right. The aiming of the unit is the hardest part of the install as it is a narrow beam. If you stand behind the beam you can see the red light from the reflector once you get close the right spot and the beam unit will click from the relay.

I bought this sensor to add to my newly installed CO-Z opener. There is specific wiring instructions in the customer question and answers for this product on how to specifically wire to a CO-Z opener. I initially had an issue when I first installed this sensor. It was working in reverse. It would only reverse direction when the opener was opening the gate. I contacted Supreform tech support and they recommended reversing the operation switch on the gate. That caused the gate to malfunction until I swapped the magnets around. after reversing the switch, you must also switch the location of the magnets. If the magnet was in the upper position, you need to switch it to the lower position and vice versa. Now the gate opens and closes properly and the beam sensor works as intended. It will stop and reverse the gate if something breaks the beam while closing. Would definitely recommend this product. And customer support was very helpful and quick to respond.

I found Ser Acer’s comments and the seller’s responses very helpful. Use ‘normal open’ setup with yellow and black. I installed on an Elite SL3000 after a guest’s car got bumped. We have a double gate with one side operating, so the distance is about 36 feet to the reflector. Long distance makes aiming almost impossible. Several hours spent, very frustrating. I think the Chamberlain $150 model would be a better product since it has better aiming adjustments and a 50 foot claimed range. But here, you can save some money. This was a frustrating multi day installation. However, the seller was very helpful via overnight emails. They sent a link for an Amazon reflector that was about $18, German, and looked almost exactly like the first one. I was surprised with this upgraded reflector it was easy to find the aim and it has stayed aimed through the vibrations of operation. It only takes a slight movement for the red indicator to come on and reverse the gate(due to blockage or not being aimed perfectly). If you have this trouble, the gate will stay open until you disconnect the sensor. To be clear, ours is working great now. Sorry, I’m having trouble attaching that new reflector link. PS the hooded bracket should be great for protecting the unit from solar UV damage and rain.

Worked great, Used this as a replacement for a wireless motion sensor for a long driveway at a vacation home for a client. Wired it in a piece or 1/2" drip tubing about 250 ft using some cat6 to the main house to a chime. Customer couldn't be happier!!
