I really liked this wax kit! It was easy to use, warmed up nicely, and the wax removed hair effectively without leaving my skin feeling too irritated. The kit came with everything I needed, and the results lasted longer than shaving. It’s a great option for doing waxing at home and saving money. I would definitely recommend it!

Great Experience!
I’d like to state that I am a novice at waxing. I have a terrible reaction to shaving. No matter the blade, technique, or aftercare product, I seem to always end up with terrible razor bumps that hurt badly. With summer coming up, I decided I’ve had enough and want to feel confident showing my legs again. I did quite a bit of research regarding different products and how to wax properly. I watched lots of videos as well- some helpful and some scary. But I quickly learned the scary ones were truly human error or a lack of practice. I’m hoping that sharing my experience can help another beginner like me! Since I wasn’t sure how my skin would react to waxing, I didn’t want to spend a fortune. But I also wanted to do it right. This was a wonderful deal. The warmer is super cute (I got the pink one), and it’s small enough to fit on my bathroom shelf. It’s also not an eye sore and I don’t feel the need to hide it somewhere. Shipping was fast and everything was exactly as described. The manual was very helpful, although I do think it could have touched more on how to operate the actual warmer. However, it ended up not being an issue because it’s easy-peasy. After plugging in and pouring your wax beads, you simply turn the dial to the temp you’d like. 155-160 was perfect for me. The manual does address this, but you must remember that the warmer is going to reach its max temp in order to fully melt the wax (240 something- extremely hot!) The digital reader will rise and then fall back down to your set temp. There’s also a red/green light to let you know when it’s ready (it took about a total of 10-15 minutes.) Test a small amount on your inner wrist before diving into it. This will give you an idea of how it will feel and if the consistency is correct. I feel that it needs to be a bit thicker than honey… more like condensed milk. There is definitely a learning curve to this whole process. Holding horizontally and twisting the stick is your best friend. This helps to create a bulb at the end of the stick. I recommend also using an up and down motion as you twist, similar to a handshake, to separate any strings hanging onto the bulb. If there is any dripping, the wax is way too hot, but this should not happen if you keep it between 155-160. I started on my leg and the technique wasn’t hard to learn, but I was getting sad when I wasn’t picking up much hair. I took a break from that and tried my armpit. This is where I learned a lot. Because my armpits are more sensitive than my legs, and I was anxious about the pain, I peeled the wax much sooner than I was before. It ripped out every hair. And I mean ALL of it. And the pain was so minimal, it took me all of 2 minutes to finish both armpits. The directions say to peel after 30-45 seconds, but this was too long and was making the wax un-stick to my hair. I found more success in waiting about 10 seconds, and so the rest of the waxing was smooth sailing. I’m sure it can be different for people with other hair types and directions of growth, but I think patience and practice is key. I let my coarser hairs grow a bit longer than a grain of rice (which was an annoying 3 weeks, but it’s worth it!) My hairs grow at different speeds and thickness, so I can feel some of the small, finer hairs still. But I know waxing has to be done multiple times before it’s uniform and/or stops growing. You can always tweeze anything noticeable leftover. Overall, I am so satisfied and impressed with this purchase and couldn’t recommend it enough, especially for someone wanting to learn how. It's been 24 hours and normally I’d be covered in painful bumps, but my skin is silky smooth and clear! I love that they also sell Kotamu wax beads separately so that you can keep using the brand if you adore it like I did!

Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Wax
First, let me say the price is excellent. Even if I only use this once, it's worth it. But it is not for the faint of heart. If you have trouble ripping off a band-aid, then this is not for you. Next, let me say, I have never waxed any part of me myself. In fact, I only started getting bikini waxes around a year ago because I had wrist surgery and it was summer and well ... you understand. Anyway, desperate times call for desperate measures. With no end to the plague lockdown in sight and me looking like a 70s porn star and summer coming 'round AGAIN, I decided to try my hand at waxing. So, I am a true beginner. The kit came packaged nicely with everything shown in the pictures and clear, detailed instructions. I would have liked to have the different wax beads labeled. I had to go to the website to remind myself what color is best for what body part. But after reading the instructions (and watching a video I found for good measure), I was ready to clear the forest, so to speak. I decided, even though I usually shave my legs, to practice getting used to working with the wax by doing my lower legs first. I basically got the hang of it by the end of leg one and there was zero pain. Now, here, I'm gonna note a little drawback - I was surprised by how quickly the wax was used up. I was hoping one bag of beads would do both lower legs and bikini, given that, as a post-menopausal woman, I have very little leg hair. But by the end of my lower legs, the wax was gone and I had to melt a second bag, which definitely took some of the wind out of my sails. This could have been because I had to do some areas twice, though, while I was getting used to the technique. Anyway, with the second bag melted, I was ready for the main event. The opening act - sides - went pretty well. I did have a bit of trouble with the first strip and ended up with a little bruising on the right, but the other side went better. It really does work great and I imagine if you know what you're doing, this is easy-peasy. I, however, do not know what I'm doing. And here I'll note another small issue. I had some trouble keeping the wax at the right consistency. It was either too runny or too thick a good portion of the time. And little threads of wax got everywhere, try as I might to leave them in the pot. But, again, I am a beginner, so I probably just need more practice. Which leads me to... Act Two: The "undercarriage" shall we say. This is where I discovered waxing should never be done while on a bath mat or towel. Also, it's really damn hard to wax upside down. The video I watched suggested standing with your foot up on a counter or the toilet. With my foot up on the counter, trying to get the right angle to spread the wax, I ended up waxing the bath mat. Dammit. So I moved to the toilet. This is where I learned that it's much better to drip wax on the tile floor. Once it hardens, it pops right off. Other than that, though, the toilet was a better height than the counter. Any issues I had were mainly user error. I need practice. A lot of practice. And I probably will go back to getting my intimate areas professionally waxed once salons open again in my area. But I will definitely use this again for my legs and I might even try eyebrows. The next challenge will be cleaning the wax out of the pot. Preliminary investigation indicates it will probably take a bit of elbow grease, but the wax should come off. Hope this was helpful!

Great Wax Kit for Home or Salon Use
This wax kit is very easy to use and works really well. The warmer heats up quickly and keeps the wax at a consistent temperature, which makes the whole process much easier. The wax beads remove hair cleanly and are gentle on the skin, even for sensitive areas. I’ve used it for face and body, and the results are smooth with minimal irritation. It also comes with a good amount of accessories, so you can start using it right away. Overall, this is a great value for both beginners and professionals. Definitely worth it!

Wax warmer is perf. The wax not so much
I got the kit with the pre/post sprays, silicone spatulas/pot liner with the 4 different wax beads. I'll start off with the wax warmer, silicone spatulas and liner. The warmer heated up nicely, the spatulas are easy to clean once the wax completely dries. And I'm sure the silicone liner will be a breeze to clean as well. Absolutely love the wax warmer and reusable spatulas and liner. The pre and post wax sprays are ok. They are the 1st time of me ever using such products so hard to compare how well they work. They do have a strong "salon" smell to them. However the wax is meh. It sets way too fast like speed wax and breaks off small pieces/strips and is so sticky. I'm not a pro so not a fan of the quick setting wax. I feel like the bags were too small to even wax a half leg. I ended up using 2 bags to do just to do my legs below the knee and still didn't get some of the hair due to running out. The wax had set too quickly before being able to fully spread it to last. I thought maybe I needed to have the wax a little warmer than I had it at 185, so I slowly tested different temps for best spreadable outcomes. 197-205 was the best however just a little too hot for my skin and ended up with a couple spots scalded. Other than these issues with the wax, I feel like it did ok grabbing the hairs. I feel like it did grab and pull out a good amount from the roots but also some hairs broke off and with the roots still in.

Life saver
This set makes at home waxing so easy. It includes everything you need to get started. I appreciate that it comes with a couple different types of wax bead for you to try. I use it for waxing my face, chin and neck. It does a great job removing the hair. If you’ve thought about home waxing this is a great starter set.

NOT FOR SAUDI CONSUMERS - Power Adapter and Voltage are only suitable for the US
Dear Kotamu and Amazon KSA, When you wish to sell an electric product, the voltage and adapter of said product should not be secondary in terms of priorities. I was waiting for the machine only to be faced by this: The power adapter is made for the US and same for the 120 voltage of the machine (not mentioned in the description too!) while Saudi Arabia outputs support 240 V. Diagraceful!

Great Heater! Worst Beads
If you’re a beginner like me, don’t buy these beads. They take forever to dry and stick on everything, and leave such a messy residue even if the strip comes off in one piece. Even soap and water isn’t gonna get all of the tiny residue out.. But the heater is really good, love the silicone bowl as well.

good warmer, not so good beads
i love the wax warmer in this kit and the silicone insert that it comes with, makes for easy wax removal so you don’t have to spend time cleaning it out. on the other hand, the wax beads that come with this kit didn’t do too well for me. i would recommend buying the wax melter and different brand beads for best outcome!

Great purchase!
Works perfectly well. FYI, With one 100g packet of the wax beads I was able to wax my legs from foot to knee, underarms, upper lip and side burns. Does not bruise and effectively removes unwanted hair.

Stopped working after 20 minutes of use
I was really pleased with how this wax warmer was working, and the wax was great too. However sadly the machine turned itself off and stopped working only 20 minutes of first use. I don’t know whether mine is faulty or what happened, but any advice would be greatly appreciated..
