Knowing the Doctrines of the Bible Paperback – January 1, 1981

I liked this book. Explain very well with scripture reference. Excellent Bible study tool.

Should you be a Christian, or not, yet, you want to have knowledge of Gods word and some understanding.Then, this is a must have book, to supplement the Holy Bible. this b my opin, right wrong or indifferent. u owe it to your self.

This is a weighty topic. If you grew up in Children's Church watching Veggie Tales, it might be time to go a bit deeper in your faith. Find the WHY behind your beliefs. Challenge and integrate rather than blanket accept or reject.I find this book helps me ask myself hard questions and provokes me to keep searching until I find answers.Worth the read!

Not sure on the tongues speaking issue, but there so much great teaching in this one book! Wow!

Very good book, price is very well worth it.

This book is a classic. I first used it during my Bible school training at Southern California College (now Vanguard University). It summarizes the basic teachings of the Assemblies of God denomination outlining the core essentials or our history Christian faith from a Pentecostal perspective. I especially recommend it for new Christians, or those who what an overview of Christian doctrines.

This is by far the best handbook I have ever read on the doctrines of the Bible. It is thorough and yet concise in listing and then discussing the major doctrines of God's Word. Nothing dry or boring here. The author blends facts, humor and great illustrations in his discussions of all the major doctrines of the Bible. Each topic lists multiple scripture references for the Bible student to confirm what is being set forth as truths concerning God, man, sin, eternity, etc. I have been an avid Bible student for over 25 years and have read this particular reference book at least twice and have never been bored. I highly recommend this book to any and every one who wants to better understand the Bible.

This book has taught me more about my Faith's doctrines in one reading than 30 years of attending church. The author answers so many of my questions. It's in depth explanations of the doctrines provide a clear understanding of the foundations of what I believe. Here is a quote from the book, "Sinners are pardoned not because God is gracious to excuse their sins, but there is redemption through the blood of Christ." but "His pardon of sin is based on strict justice. God's grace is revealed in His providing an atonement whereby He could both justify the ungodly and yet vindicate His holy, unchangeable law." (pages 233 & 234).If you are searching for a book to lead you into more understanding of you Faith this is the book! I highly recommend, no this is a must.
