can the led screen and light be completely turned off and still have the unit running? I like it completely dark when sleeping.

I have the 200S version and I figured out that if you tap the wifi symbol located directly above the on/off switch that the lights will turn off but the unit will continue to run! I am very grateful to have figured this out as the lights were too bright for sleeping for me!

do you replace the descaling pad and aroma pad? and where can u buy to replace?

You can rinse the descaling pad and reuse a little (for me, lasts 4 weeks using purified water in the humidifier 24hrs/7days a week) until it becomes hard. At that point it needs to be replaced. However, Amazon doesn't currently sell replacements, neither does Levoit website, nor anywhere else I can find on Google! I emailed Levoit today to ask where I can purchase them, will update when I get a response (it's a holiday right now, so maybe after Jan. 1)

Does the tank fill from the bottom or top? thank you

Bottom, you pull off the tank, flip it over, unscrew the lid, and fill it up. It would be easier if you could fill it up from the top because when it is full it can be a little heavy when putting the tank back on. All in all great humidifier though, I would highly recommend.

What's considered a "larger room" for the area it will cover?

Good question! "Larger room" is very subjective. Our bedroom is about 20x20 with 8' ceilings and it will keep the entire room around 50% if all doors and windows are closed and it has several hours to "build up steam" so to speak. I keep it close to my bedside since I live in the desert and have respiratory problems. I can easily keep my area in the 40%-60% range recommended with the bedroom door opened, but not the entire room will stay humid if the door is open to the rest of the house..
