I never thought I would be writing a review for dog food, but here we are. My dog is extremely picky. He will eat a new food for one day and then decide he would rather starve. I cannot tell you how many bags and cans of dog food I have had to dump in the lake to feed the fish so it wasn't a complete waste of money. Until we found this food. My dog eats this. Actually eats. It's so strange to see him excited for meals now! There are big chunks of meat and it smells decent. This is the second pack I have purchased and he's still a big fan.

Great Dog food my dog absolutely loves it

Pros my dogs love it as long as they eat it right away. The gravy texture rolls right out of the can easily and the pop top is easy to get off in the morning when I’m in a hurry. I mix a half a can with 2 cups of dry dog food every day twice a day for two dogs. They really like this stuff and it seems to make their kibble more palatable. I add a couple broken up dog cookies too. Cons- Gluey texture The downside of this stuff is that it hardens into a rubber cement gluey type epoxy (hmm) if the dogs don’t eat at all within 10 or 20 minutes. Seriously within 20 minutes their dog food is sort of a weird cemented clump.

My dog Jameson has been loving this Purina food since day one. Even though he is not a fussy eater he gets excited every time I add the Purina to his kibble. It has an aroma which is very appealing, even to humans. We have tried a few other canned foods and this is THE ONE for him. For reference: Jameson is an active Irish Setter.

My dogs won't eat just dry kibble. (One of them is so gourmet he wouldn't eat puppy food, had to have what the adults were having and he's actually stolen a saucepan and spatula when dinner was late. Must be the reincarnation of a French chef--French poodle.) He LOVES this food. I split it with good quality limited ingredient kibble and he's very happy to get it. It smells like people food and you probably could fool someont that this is beef and barley stew. The older dog is less fussy but has a more sensitive stomach, and she's doing well on it also. They clean their bowls when served this, and they aren't happy with other fare. My vet says grain is fine for dogs and in fact, she doesn't recommend grain free food at all. The barley is a good quality high fiber ingredient.
