I love this product but the scented version was too much for me. I didn’t know they had unscented and was happy when I realized I could get it unscented. This is the natural version of Retin A. I’m very particular about using only natural ingredients on my body. I am an esthetician and rate this product as very effective for improving the texture and youthfulness of the skin. I know many don’t recommend using vitamin c serum with the chemical version of Retin A, but it doesn’t cause any irritation with this natural form for me. I use it under the Bakuchiol oil and it’s very effective night and day. I don’t use anything else except for a couple of drops of natural castor oil. But castor oil in a glass bottle, hexane free and organic is awesome. I think you will love it!

I’m 32 and starting to focus more on my skincare routine. I want to keep it simple and not use a million products on my face. This Gaia Bakuchiol oil has been a blessing to say the least. If self care is something you enjoy, this is the perfect treat. I have been using it twice daily for nearly 3 weeks. The package recommends using 4 drops in the morning and 4 drops in the evening (it comes in a dark glass bottle with a topper that suspends the oil in droplets), but I use much more as I don’t mind oil based face products. It is so smooth when I apply it, just spreading it on my skin feels like a massage. During the application process, I become aware of the sweet aroma of roses. The oil keeps my face looking “tight/wrinkle-less” and I honestly look 10 years younger. I’ve had Botox in the past and this oil has given me similar results in terms of “tightness” in my face. It doesn’t feel like the oil tightens the skin but the appearance of the skin is smooth, as if it were tightened. The oil itself feels very soft. Once I finish this bottle, I’m buying it again. I hope my review helps describe this oil and the experience as much as possible.

Absolutely amazing

I've been using this for almost a year now, and I'm very satisfied with it. The blend includes all the good-for-skin essential oils and it's a very lightweight blend that goes on easily and absorbs well. I buy the unscented, which has a very faint natural botanical fragrance from the oils themselves. I use 3 drops at night on face and sometimes my throat, and 2 in the morning or before putting on makeup. At almost 70, I have plenty of sunspots. I didn't take a 'before' photo of my face, but after a few months' use during which I hadn't been paying close attention, one day I noticed the 2 most prominent ones had faded by over 50% in size and in darkness. I'm on a lot of Zoom meetings, and those particular 2 spots were the most obvious on the camera, to the point I had started using concealer on them before going on camera. One day I started Zoom and realized I could barely see them! TBH I hadn't expected it would work that well. I don't use any retinol or other skin lightening products and most days I don't wear makeup or sunscreen, so it's all due to the Gaia oil. My husband noticed the difference as well. I've also been getting compliments on my skin since using the oil. I order the smaller size so that I use it up before the oil might start to degrade. The maker has taken best-practice measures for the product, putting it in a very dark brown glass bottle to decrease light exposure, and for more protection I keep it in the box as well. I'm usually skeptical of natural products being able to make that much of a difference in things like freckles or sunspots, so I'm glad I tried Gaia Bakuchiol oil. I'm putting it on the backs of my hands now too.!

I got this as a retinol alternative because of pregnancy and I saw what I thought was honest and true good reviews. Then after I bought it and used it for a little i went to reviews again and noticed most were given the product free to try before reviewing. It’s okay. I’ve been using it for a couple months now and I don’t even see a difference or improvement as I thought I would by reading reviews and seeing pictures. It feels nice, it smells good but very strong. In all, I should’ve gone with a different brand.

My wife has naturally oily skin but as she's aged, it also has some dry areas as well as wrinkles are coming. Many kinds of skin products sting her eyes or make her itch. Or she finds them too harsh and reddening. This product has been great and she's on her second bottle. After cleansing, she first applies a thin layer of TruSkin Vit C serum, and then applies a thin layer of this oil all over her face and neck and even in the under eye area. This has not broken her out or caused any irritation. It does have a scent which she finds pleasant, but some may not care for that. For her purposes, this has been a good find and she thinks it is helping greatly to make her skin more smooth and to keep it hydrated.

This is a product that I will purchase over and over again. It is unlike any other oil you could put on your face. I do love natural alternatives to toxic chemicals that are in most beauty products. This product is lighter than castor oil, of which I do like to use on varying days. Your face will feel amazing in the morning. Obviously, the more you use it the more you will see results in the overall appearance of your skin. I’ve done my research on this oil and tested it for a few months now. It is more than worth it, in my opinion.

Nourishing ingredients but broke me out like cray. This is not even close to Rx Tretinoin so the 5% matters a lot less in use.
