Repa Market 4 Inch ABS Plastic Exterior Dryer Vent Cover Outside - Gray Outdoor Dryer Vent Hood with Backdraft Damper & Bird Guard Screen - Exhaust Air Vent Covers for Wall for Outdoor Use

It is doing the job it is intended to do. The cover seems to be sturdy enough and so far stays on the mount. The mount could be stronger or maybe a steel bezel inside to spread the load from the screws. It works, just not sure it will have a long life against the siding. The bars at the opening are quite weak but seem to be strong enough to keep birds out. (my main concern). It will not stop 4 legged animals. If you need that go with a steel unit.

Fit very well as a replacement for an 18 year old vent that was deteriored. This particular vent doesn't look like it the plastic is as thick as the one it replaced. It may not last as long, but it certainly fit and works fine. No problems at all.

I bought this hood vent to replace the one from my dehumidifier that lost a couple of its flaps. I figured this would be better having a solid housing instead of 3 flaps that can move in the wind and let the elements in. It was most definitely an improvement. As you can see in the 1 picture, the plastic bars will keep out the larger rodents and birds, but I also needed to keep out stink bugs and other pests. To do this I bought a vent grill that you can slightly make out in the underside picture. Together they are great so far. The only issue I have is the softness of the plastic. When it arrived the plastic bars underneath were warped a bit (you can see in the underside picture) and I had to manually bend them back into place to fit the housing. I was afraid I was going to break the plastic while doing this as the plastic turned white almost as soon as I applied pressure. That and attaching the hood vent to the housing was not a perfectly secure fit either due to the warping. It is this soft plastic and need to flatten out the plastic that I gave it 4 stars. Otherwise this product is superb.

Im sure is a great product however it did not fit the fittings that are installed in my home

I guess it was easy to install, because I was in the construction industry for 20 years. I suppose anyone with a drill, 6” hole saw, and a stud/electric wire finder could do it, but this item, nor it’s manufacturer’s can take credit for that. There is very little quality here. The one I was sent was already broken in several places. I need it now , or I would return it. I will inevitably end up replacing this one and throwing it away, I can already tell.

does the job and fits well. I had to just caulk it in place

I purchased two different sizes. The flap will rub when snapped together and won't close on it's own.

I only wish it came with a vent clamp. since it is an online order, it can be easy to forget to buy a clamp to attach the tubing. But the part does what you might hope otherwise.

It's great has stopped the wind from coming into the kitchen through the vent

Good item. Seems to be made to last does thr job it was intended to do so I am more than pleased with it
