It should be a war crime to charge almost $7 for 3 pieces of steel string attached to plastic!!!?

What is needle length?

It says they are 7 inches. I think that he blue handle part is about 1 1/2 inches which would make the needle length about 5 1/2 inches. It has been plenty long enough for all of the cakes/cupcakes I have used them on.

What is the diameter? I'm looking for one that's ~1.5mm in diameter.

I don’t know and couldn’t find it online. But it is as thin as a hypodermic needle. You might need to call the Ateco customer service center to ask.
