DeoxIT D100L-2DB Brush Applicator, More Than A Contact Cleaner, 7.4mL, Pack of 1

I purchased this to try and repair a small pile of 30 or so battery powered toys and have continued to use it as I find more. I see a lot of reviews upset its not a miracle product after trying it on a single device. I'll say after applying it to every item I had its effectiveness was roughly 70 to 80% of the items I tried it on. Sometimes pieces I was sure it wouldn't work on it actually did bring back to life, and other times items I thought barely needed it still wouldn't work. Its really dependent on how the corrosion happened, what areas it affected, and possibly your item might just have some other unseen issue. Its great for corrosion, tarnished metal, and battery acid buildup. But if the metal prongs themselves are damaged its probably not going to save it. This is a cleaner, not a magical time-rewind potion. The bottle is really small and I've seen some people say they used the whole thing on one item. Honestly after using it over 60 times I still probably have hundreds of uses left so I have no idea how some reviewers are using the whole bottle on a single item unless they're just dumping the whole thing in (which would definitely just destroy it) I'd recommend it if this is something you see yourself using more than once every now and again. Go in with realistic expectations that it could save your item, but consider it a last chance, not a sure thing.

A MUST have for working on cars. The full strength polyphenol ether exerts a powerful removal and protection from oxidation of metal contacts. It also has a lubricating quality that makes connectors easier to remove later. I used to get the smaller mini tubes and apply with a q-tip. But I find the small brush in the bottle make it easier overall to use. Plus there is no danger of loose fibers from the qtip coming off inside the connectors.

Clean and prevent oxidation which makes poor electrical contact. Works on Aluminum flash light shells and battery contacts. Note: if using to clean carbon volume tracks, wipe off and use an ink resist pen to reapply carbon coating. Bare metal spots will create more scratching sounds.

I bought this contact cleaner with the hope it would help me keep contacts clean around my gas heater. Unfortunately, it doesn't work well in high heat situations. For AV settings or other low heat situations, it'd be great. But for settings with temps around 180 degrees, probably not.

This product helped clean gunk off anything electronic.

This was mainly bought so I could use as a reference for what I use at work. As long as you properly shut the cap this will last awhile for the average consumer making it worth the price. The first time I had to use this particular product I was a little dismayed by the large brush making it difficult to work into a phone's charging port. However it does it's job I used it on a few cables and other contacts around the house; a flickering bulb in my bathroom gave me an idea of just how great it cleans the contacts. I did sadly have to apply a week later on the bulb which was in my bathroom but it hasn't flickered or had an issue turning on in months. Overall it's a great cleaning product to have on hand even if it's just kept in storage.
