I know its awkward to ship but I thought it would have been rolled for shipping. Because it was folded it now has crease lines, and I can't get them out. Means a not so nice looking installation. It's also a lot thinner than I thought. Time will tell if it dies the job or not

Lost my hood insulation somewhere in the last 2 visits to the shop and had some impressive IAT numbers that defied physics (177°F) Spent about an hour playing with this stuff before going for a drive and noticing that my hood was not making the air wavy from heat. Checked temps and my intake was at 130°F which is substantially lower than before after a drive to the office. I tested further and made more improvements on placement and air gap between the surfaces and got it down to 97°F overall with traffic and heat soak. 3 years I've been struggling with intake air temp and the hoodnpaint getting beaten up from all the heat transfer- eliminated for 24 bucks. A stock insulation panel on the hood doesn't reject heat this good! I wrapped pretty much everything i could find near the exhaust manifolds and air filter. Installed new weatherstripping around the perimeter and sealed all the gaps up tight. My supercharger now gets fresh ambient air instead of engine bay heat soak, picking up 15hp and 3mpg avg. Keeping the hot air away from the intake is key, and this stuff makes it possible. Real results, 1st time applicator, no problems. Highly recommended, but you have to have a plan. You cant just wrap random stuff up in this blanket like some of the needs on here haha. Keep a 1mm air gap between the adhesive and panel you're keeping cool (96mil 12"x12" insulation panels are what I used) and the reflection will be very stable. If you stick this stuff ONTO metal, the metal WILL get just as hot as the thing you're trying to protect from. Don't waste your money and stick this stuff all over your engine bay. Make a plan, get the materials and insulate your butt off. The proof is in the numbers. Excellent product, definitely buying more for my other cars.
