Good price and quality

I question if these are in fact thermostatic, after fitting l find it to operate as a constant on or off no matter what number you have it too. However l would accept at this price you can’t really moan. Fitting was easy, they look great, not cheap looking, not a bad quality feel to them.

I bought these to replace 18yr old Myson valves that had failed: One permanently open; One permanently closed. After reading reviews of various replacements, I was concerned that these valves might not fit and was not sure about the measurements that I made of the valve base. This was not a problem. They screwed on correctly with the same number of turns as the old valves. Sadly, they did not switch off the flow when the room came up to temperature, even in the Off position. It seems likely that the pin in the base unit is shorter than this valve is designed for. Other base units may be different, but nothing in the description of any of the replacement valves suggest that there are alternative lengths.
