Our flour has been tested for a range of chemicals and pesticide residue which include Organophosphates and chlorinated pesticides and they are below detectable limits. Our flour has been tested for gluten and is Gluten-Free.

Is this product gluten free? Not only in ingredients, but does the factory where it's produced process any gluten-containing ingredients?

Yes, the product is gluten free. The equipment used in processing our Plantain Flour is not used in processing gluten products.

Can this be used as a replacement for coconut flour in keto recipes

Absolutely! I was pleasantly surprised to find that it works and tastes better than coconut flour. If you don't mind the dark brown color, you'll find that it's a superior flour. Personally, I think it's the best of all the alternatives for taste, cohesion (especially if you use xantham and/or guar gum for binders) and digestibility. I made some noodles with it. While I need to tweak the recipe for taste, I found that they did not fall apart in the boiling water. I do love this plantain flour.
