Due to parathyroid issues, my hair started falling out by the handfuls after surgery 4 years ago. I tried everything recommended on the market and holistic/natural. Came across this and it’s been amazing! It smells great! My head, scalp, and hair feel and smell clean! No build up or residue. My hair is growing!! It’s shiny, thicker, and it’s stronger! I’m overjoyed and so glad I found this shampoo (and the conditioner, too) Even better, I also found it from a small business on Amazon #shopsmall ❤️

I love the Smooth as Silk shampoo - it leaves my hair feeling silky smooth, but also clean without any residual greasiness. Just a note - I have thick, curly hair; my partner has thin, short, straight hair; my mom has thin, wavy hair; it works for all of our hair types. I enjoy the the scent. It's like a nice light grapefruit scent but isn't overwhelming at all, and I'm typically sensitive to any added fragrance. The thickness of the shampoo is nice, it pours in a ribbon so it is easy to transfer into other bottles. The gallon jug lasts my household well over 6 months, and that's with 4 people using it at least 2-3 times a week. The value, quality, results, scent, and consistency are unmatched. I have been thrilled with all the GIOVANNI products I've tried. I will be buying over and over again!

This shampoo is very moisturizing in my experience. It's a bit spendy, but buying the large size helps with that. The one drawback with the formulation is that it doesn't lather as well as commercial shampoos. But this may be a fair tradeoff for being Lauryl & Laureth Sulfate free.

The shampoo and conditioner are both great products. Will purchase again.

We have there is different kinds of hair in our family ranging from 1. very long, thicker, wavy hair, 2. long, thin, straight hair, 3. thick, coarse, straight hair, 4. full head of hair, medium texture, straight hair. this shampoo has worked OK for all of us, However, we do feel like we need to double wash and those of us with extremely thick hair need to wash three times and rinse really well. It does not leave a ton of buildup if rinse out completely but we can see how buildup could be produced as it is a little moisturizing. I am not sure if we would buy this again only because it wasn’t a favorite, but I would buy this again if it was an only option. I tend to be picky and expect a lot so that means I like this, but didn’t love this - as far as the scent goes, I loved it!

Definitely a favorite product,e specially when use din combination with conditioner and ironing spray.

Switching from WEN and trying to find something that doesn't leave my hair all dried out. Bought the shampoo and conditioner. LOVE this product. Works excellent on my (grey) hair. Leaves it soft and shiny. Highly recommended!!
