Big Upgrade Over Stock โ Excellent GMRS Antenna!
I bought the Nagoya 771G to replace the stock antenna on my GMRS handhelds (Baofeng GM-15 Pro, Baofeng GMRS-9r, Tidradio TD-H3), and the difference was immediate and noticeable. โ Improved Range & Clarity: With the 771G, Iโm getting significantly better range and signal qualityโespecially in rural and wooded areas. Transmit and receive are both clearer compared to the standard rubber duck antenna. โ Built Specifically for GMRS (462 MHz): This isnโt just a general-purpose antennaโitโs tuned specifically for the GMRS band, and it shows. Less static, more reach, and more reliable communication. If you are Rx'ing 2m/70cm bands, your miles may vary on the Rx quality, but it has been useable. โ Flexible and Durable: The antenna has a good balance between flexibility and sturdiness. It bends without feeling flimsy and holds up well to regular use outdoors and on the move. โ Plug and Play: Installation was super easy. Just unscrewed the old antenna and popped this one on. The SMA-F connector fit perfectly with my Baofeng radio. ๐ Things to know before you by: It is longer than the stock antennas (about 15.6 inches), so be aware if you're carrying it on your belt or in tight spaces. Make sure your radio uses an SMA-Female connector (this is the standard for most Baofeng GMRS radios). Final Thoughts: If you want to get the most out of your handheld GMRS radio, the Nagoya 771G is a must-have. Itโs affordable, effective, and built specifically for GMRS use. Highly recommended!

High-Performance GMRS Antenna โ Ideal for Boosting Range and Clarity!
The Authentic Genuine Nagoya NA-771G 15.3-Inch Whip GMRS Antenna is a fantastic upgrade for anyone looking to improve the range and clarity of their GMRS radio communications. With its 15.3-inch length and SMA-Female connector, this antenna is purpose-built for 462MHz, offering enhanced performance in both urban and rural settings. Hereโs why this antenna has exceeded my expectations for GMRS applications. Impressive Range Improvement Switching to the NA-771G immediately extended my radioโs range, allowing me to communicate over longer distances with clearer reception. This is especially valuable in areas with obstacles, like dense trees or urban structures, where standard antennas often fall short. The extra length and optimized tuning make a noticeable difference in signal strength, enabling reliable communication even when separated by significant distances or challenging terrain. Tuned Specifically for GMRS (462MHz) Unlike general-purpose antennas, the NA-771G is tuned specifically for GMRS frequencies, around 462MHz, which ensures efficient and focused performance on this band. This optimized tuning means I get the best possible clarity and range without interference, which is essential for staying connected on outdoor adventures, emergency communications, or even community events where GMRS is widely used. Durable and Flexible Whip Design At 15.3 inches, this antenna strikes an excellent balance between durability and flexibility. The whip design is sturdy enough to withstand regular use, while the flexible construction prevents it from snapping or bending out of shape when it comes into contact with objects. Iโve found it convenient to carry and use on portable radios, knowing it can handle a bit of wear and tear without compromising on performance. SMA-Female Connector Compatibility This antenna comes with an SMA-Female connector, making it compatible with many popular GMRS handheld radios. The fit is secure and straightforward to attach, providing a snug connection that wonโt loosen or detach easily during use. Iโve paired it with a few different models, and it integrates seamlessly each time, allowing quick installation and dependable use. Lightweight and Portable Despite its length, the NA-771G is lightweight, making it comfortable to use on handheld radios without adding significant bulk. Itโs perfect for carrying on hikes, in vehicles, or while exploring, and doesnโt interfere with the radioโs portability. This makes it ideal for fieldwork and outdoor adventures where every ounce counts. Ideal for Various Applications The NA-771G is incredibly versatile, suitable for a variety of GMRS applications, including recreational use, emergency preparedness, and group communication in remote areas. It provides dependable, boosted performance without requiring a complex setup, making it a fantastic upgrade for anyone relying on GMRS for clear, extended-range communication. In summary, the Nagoya NA-771G 15.3-Inch Whip GMRS Antenna is a top-quality, purpose-built antenna that significantly enhances range and clarity for GMRS radios. With its durable design, specific tuning for 462MHz, and easy compatibility, this antenna is a valuable addition for both casual and serious users. Highly recommended for anyone looking to maximize their GMRS radio performance!

Good antenna. Better range.
My wouxan and my beafeng both benefitted from this antenna. It's well worth the money because they give you better reception, etc.. I was able to hit a repeater in Indianapolis from South of Greenwood which is about 15 miles or so just standing outside. I wasn't able to do so with the stubby that came with my radios. I could trip the repeater but no voice or garbled voice until I added this antenna. I can't say it was totally the antenna, but it for sure helped.

works great, nice upgrade for Baofeng GMRS
I like the whip better than the little antennas that come with the radios I have. It does give better range in testing, it seems quite durable too. I found the radios I had it didn't seat perfectly well, I think the rubber o-rings are there to help with that but it's more of the radio's fault with the molding near the connection. At times I do miss how short the standard antenna is. Now I want one like this but in a smaller version like the stock ones.

Get the best distance of the 3 antennas I own.
I have many TD-H3 GMRS radios and wanted to try some different antennas. The OEM antenna works but is lacking. The Smiley antenna is a short antenna, about 4 inches. They spec it as a 5/8th wave which usually means it'll work in conditions with trees and buildings better than a 1/4 wave would. I have 3 different antennas I use on the regular. The OEM, the Smiley and the Nagoya 771G. The OEM is about 7.25" and works OK. You can't expect much of an antenna to come with a $35 radio. I get about .9 miles when I use my small repeater with a mobile setup which is low to the ground and in a very cluttered environment. The Nagoya 771G antenna is 15" tall so it's very long. It's not convenient for carrying the radio with you because of it's length. But it goes even farther than the Smiley. I was able to get 1.8 miles and it still hadn't quit but I didn't go farther. It wasn't going to go much more anyway. The Smiley in the same conditions gets out to 1.5 miles where it quits abruptly. It's a very convenient antenna because it's small and has a decent range. So the best of each world of small size and distance would go to the Smiley. If you need the distance you have to take what you can get with convenience or not. So that would be the 771G. It out distances the most all antennas out there.

Outstanding Range Boost โ Perfect for My Alaska Trip!
I added the Authentic Genuine Nagoya NA-771G antenna to the BAOFENG UV-5RM PLUS GPS radios I recently reviewed, and the difference in performance was incredible. While using them in the rugged terrain of Alaska, this antenna pushed my range to over 35 miles with clear, reliable communication the entire time. The build quality is excellent โ sturdy yet flexible โ and installation was as simple as screwing it into place. Itโs tuned perfectly for GMRS frequencies, and I noticed an immediate improvement in both signal reach and reception clarity. If youโre pairing it with a BTECH or BaoFeng radio, especially for outdoor or remote use, this is a must-have upgrade. For my trip, it transformed an already great radio into a truly long-range communication tool I could depend on.

Way better than stock antennas
Using TDR h3 that comes with a short and long antenna. Those work but this Nagoya is way better with range and clarity.

Nice antenna at a good price.
I purchased this for my Quansheng UV K5 as a replacement to the rubber duck antenna that originally came with radio. Works well with my radio and I have ordered another for a different radio.

Great antenna
I'm cautioned to make sure it's a GENUINE Nagoya, and this is the real thing. Reception on the GMRS band is greatly improved with the proper antenna. A very good buy.

A big improvement.
These are indeed original Nagoya. They work fantastic on my Baofeng and TidRadio handhelds. Significant improvement over the antennas that the radios come equipped with from the factory.

The antenna has to be tuned to the frequency range of the radio.
It is a simple install, a no brainer actually, unscrew the old and screw in the new.
