I’m not an athlete. I’m exercising more and plagued with bad muscle aches and cramps that didn’t ever seem to get better. I’ve been like this my entire life, including my athletic teen years. I was always extremely sore after any workout. Anyway, after logging my food for awhile I realized I have low daily protein intake, around 20-35g/day, and that apparently can cause the soreness and cramps I described. So I gave this a shot after exercising and noticed that I don’t feel the same amount of soreness. My muscles still feel tired but not nearly the same. Could be a coincidence, but I’m sold. The mix tastes good. I got the chocolate malt flavor. I had it with milk the first couple of times (no cold drinking water), and could barely tolerate it. I had it with cold water today and think it tastes much better. Update: still experiencing the same benefits re muscle soreness. I spent the last two days pulling an ungodly amount of weeds in my yard, then ran 3.5 miles both days too. I had very slight soreness in my back that was completely gone after one day, and some mild soreness in my legs that’s barely noticeable. Still convinced it’s the protein powder. FLAVOR UPDATE: I got the strawberry today and prefer it to the chocolate malt. It tastes like strawberry cake batter. Update 2: added strength training. Still not feeling much next-day soreness, and yesterday I really pushed myself so that I was shaking near the end. I thought those muscles would be horribly sore for sure today but there’s barely any soreness. It’s almost time to get a new container of this and I’ll do a flavor update then. (Probably) final update: I got cookies and cream next and that flavor tastes the best imo. Delicious and not too sweet. However, that flavor had different ingredients and it made my stomach so sick. I ended up throwing it out and got mocha flavor because it had less ingredients. It tastes ok, easily the most bland of the flavors I’ve reviewed. But honestly I can’t stomach it anymore. Just thinking about any of the flavors makes my stomach feel sick. Effectiveness-wise: my husband and I spent a day kayaking (we were out on the water about 7 hours). I drank two scoops of this when we got home and felt NO soreness the next day, whereas my husband felt quite sore. Still sold on protein powder. I also started drinking a berry flavor green powder and decided to mix it with plain whey protein powder (bulk supplements). I plan to go this route for the foreseeable future. Best wishes all.

This powder is wonderful to keep your body charged and ready to go! I get chocolate, but it has many flavors packed with all the goodness your body needs. Two scoops or more is what I use. I add bananas and other fruit. I pour coffee into my blender. I then add my crunchy peanut butter, my health powers you want. Then add Ice cubes and blend the way you like it. I use half a bender, then put it in the freezer, and use the rest later as Icecream. Worth every penny and them some!

I've tried several of these. The consistency and ability to mix have always been very good. Here's a breakdown by flavor (I'll be adding more as I try them): - Banana Cream 2lbs (4 stars): Very good. Tastes like banana Laffy Taffy, but less sugary. - Birthday Cake 2lbs (2 star): Not TOTALLY disgusting, but probably the worst flavor I've tried. It has little, colored (sugar?) lumps that detract from the already lacking flavor. Never buying this flavor again. - Blueberry Cheesecake (3.5 star): Pretty good, but nothing special (unless you really like blueberries) - Cake Donut 2lbs (3 star): Doesn't taste bad, but flavor is bland/not rich. Even when using less water in order to thicken it, flavor is still lacking. - Chocolate Hazelnut 2lbs (4 star): Tastes like chocolate milk! Gotta add some extra water tho. - Chocolate Malt 2lbs (4 star): Tastes good, would probably give it 5 stars if I didn't dislike malt. - Chocolate Mint 2lbs (4 stars): Quite good. A bit too chocolaty for me. - Cookies and Cream 2lbs (5 stars): This tastes VERY good. It's like an actual shake (when using just water). Will definitely buy again, and probably in 5-lbs - Delicious Strawberry 2lbs (1 star): Says "Delicious" as part of the flavor - it's not. Tastes like strawberry medicine. - Key Lime Pie 1.8lbs (2 stars): Doesn't taste like Key Lime Pie at all (there's a hint of lime, but no hint of pie). Not terrible, but far from good. - Vanilla Ice Cream 1lbs (5 stars): Very good. Simple, consistency close to an actual milk shake even when using water.

I’ve been searching for a protein powder that is not super sweet and this one is perfect! Love the flavor. I mix it with a teaspoon of espresso powder, 8 ounces of nut milk and 2 ounces of regular fat free milk and it is so so delicious!
