This crimping tool came really quickly and in super cute packaging. All recyclable. Very straight forward instructions, although it was a piece of cake to use even without reading them. Compact and light weight tool, great to have on hand.

The five star rating is based upon the tool itself. It is well made and does the job adequately. Like many creative aspects, one does require a certain skill level in order to achieve a successful result. This could take time. The tool only crimps one section of the terminal at a time. This in turn, takes two crimps per terminal. Each crimp compresses the bare wire and insulated part of the wire individually at the correct pressure, which in turn, can improve the quality aspect of the termination because not all wire insulation has the same thickness.

Finally found an inexpensive, but well built crimper that will handle a larger variety and sizes of crimp pins. The thinner jaw allows you to crimp the wire and insulation portion separately (2 steps). Which gives you more control over the quality of the crimps than with the thick jaw ratcheting style crimpers.
