Hello Marlene, This is Greg from Point A Tech, Hospital Bed Company. The bed itself is fully assembled at the factory, you just need to insert the head/food board. For the unpack and inside delivery, pls refer to attached video manuals. Due to the liability and insurance issue, truck driver cannot go into your house. But before the delivery, trucker will call you to set up the delivery appointment with you. You can choose the date, and arrange two persons. Or you can receive the cargo in your garage, then you can arrange two person for unpack/inside delivery. Where is your delivery location? For NJ and LA area, we can make the inside delivery, since we have the office in LA and NJ. Thks. Greg. Point A Tech.

What is the height of the guard rail from the surface of mattresses?

The height of the siderail is 12.5 inches. We use 5.9 inch memory form mattress, so from the top of mattress to top of siderail is about 6.5 inches. Thks. Greg. Point A Tech.

We both 2 beds on Jan/23, the bed for my husband it is too high for him to seat,, can the cast can be taken off so he can seat properly? need help.

We had the same problem with my Mom as she could not touch feet to floor. I was told the castors could be taken off but then we would not be able to get our hoyer lift under the bed to put her in bed as I needed to have 4 1/2 inches of space at least. We then exchanged the bed for one that would go as low as 9 inches off the floor to solve our problem.
