Absolutely Fantastic for a Custom Closet Project!
I bought this bookshelf to use as part of a custom DIY closet setup for my clothes, and it has honestly exceeded all my expectations. I was looking for something that would provide clean, structured storage for shirts, underwear, perfumes, and this turned out to be the absolute perfect solution for what I needed. I love it so much! From the moment I opened the box, I was impressed. Sometimes flat pack furniture can be a total nightmare to sort through, but the packaging here was top notch. Everything, all the panels, screws, and hardware, was perfectly separated, clearly labeled, and organized. The instruction manual was incredibly clear and easy to follow, so the actual assembly process was smooth, straightforward, and completely frustration free. Once it was fully put together and placed in the closet, I was thrilled by how solid it felt. It is remarkably sturdy and handles the weight of heavy clothes without a single wobble or hint of sagging. It looks sleek, holds an incredible amount of items, and completely transformed the organization of my space. If you are looking for a reliable, high quality, and sturdy shelving unit, whether it is actually for books or for alternative storage like a wardrobe setup, I cannot recommend this enough. It is worth every single penny!

Storage Cabinet Perfect for Small Spaces
I’m really happy with this cabinet! It fits perfectly in my small closet space. The white finish looks clean and modern and it matches well with any room. It feels sturdy once assembled and the drawers slide smoothly. I also like that it gives a lot of storage without taking up too much floor space, which is perfect. Assembly was straightforward and the instructions were easy to follow. Overall, this was a great purchase and definitely helped maximize my storage space. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a simple and functional storage solution!

Nice Cabinet
Really nice sturdy cabinet. The shelves are wide enough to fit two rows of books which is nice. The drawers are nice but probably can't fit a large amount of weight (less then 10 lbs). I built it by myself and it took about 2 and a half hours while getting distracted multiple times. The only time I can see you needing two people is when the shelves get connected to the drawers as these are built separately and then put together. Directions are extremely clear and easy to follow. The only thing I disliked was when I tried using my power drill and many different drill bits but it kept stripping the B screws (only the B screws). I switched to a hand held screwdriver and it was the same issue so I carried on but was still able to build it. Overall, really good buy and I love the look of this cabinet.

4.5 stars – better than I expected!
I was skeptical seeing all of those four and five star reviews, but I can honestly say, this bookcase has exceeded my expectations. It is well-designed and sturdy, similar to Ikea, but better, with one exception: Ikea bookcases typically have notches at the bottom to offset kickboards. However, if you want the bookcase to sit flush against the wall, you could remove the quarter-round and kickboard portion the same width as the bookcase. The drawers are surprisingly strong and have stops to prevent inadvertently removing them. They can also be intentionally removed. They have rollers which make them easy to move in and out. When fully extended, they do not sag. Be aware that even though the bookcase is 71” tall, the shipping box is only 45” tall. Consequently, each of the two sides have two pieces. This may seem odd, but this actually makes assembling easier. I fully assembled this bookcase without assistance. The illustrations are clear and easy to follow. Every piece is fits perfectly. You just have to be careful and don’t force it. The finished product looks great. There were some comments indicating the screws for the drawer handles are too short. This is understandable. The screw is 18 mm long and the drawer thickness is 15 mm. Therefore, only 3 mm screws into the handle. However, the real problem is the drawer handle threads are only 5 mm deep. Therefore, if you use 20 mm screws (the next size up), you risk having the screw bottoming out before it is snug. But if you use a thin washer, that should work. I used them as is and so far, they are holding up fine. These tips may be helpful: - Wear a mask during unpacking and assembly. That particle board dust gets all over and into your lungs if not careful. - How to open the box may not be obvious. I set the box long side down and opened the end with the product label right side up. This was fortuitous because the contents were stacked flat (i.e., not on the edges). This is also where the hardware and assembly instructions are located. I then slid the contents, one piece at a time, out of the box. I purchased two bookcases. For the second box, I positioned it the same way, but this time opened both ends and the long seam. I then unwrapped the box which exposed the entire contents. This made it much easier to unpack. - Open the box in your work area. Then as you unpack it, stack the pieces in your staging area. I made the mistake of opening the box in my staging area. Then I had to move everything from my work area back to my staging area - no big deal, just some unnecessary, extra work. - Be prepared to get cuts and scratches on various parts of your body (especially your hands) during unpacking and assembly. Some of the edges are very sharp. You may want to wear gloves. This is not a problem after the bookcase is fully assembled. - Beginning with step 2, when screwing each part A, be careful not to strip the plastic threads. If using a power screwdriver, set it at 30% capacity and then tighten by hand until just snug. This would explain why they include two extra plastic inserts. - Pay close attention at step 13. I inadvertently attempted to install parts 1 and 6 at the wrong end. I temporarily thought I had a defect until I realized my error. - For step 14, resist the temptation to set the base upright and then put the top on by lifting it. Follow the illustration. It is a lot easier. After this step, you can easily set the bookcase upright. - Step 15 is virtually impossible without a power screwdriver. - For step 16, leave the drawer handles off until they are fully assembled. The handles will be easier to attach then. - Also in step 16, for some reason while attaching the drawer rails (items DL and DR), the screws (G) on each end would not tighten (the middle screw was fine). This was not a problem for just one or two screws, all 12 screws acted as if the threads were stripped. I then added #4 x ½” screws (almost the same size as the G screws, M3 x 12 mm) to the empty holes next to the problem screws. These all tightened snugly. It was this minor issue that compelled me not to rate it as five stars overall. - After completing the rest of step 16, if you took my advice and left the handles off, now would be the time to attach these. - When installing the flat panels (items 6, 7 and 19), ensure the labels are on the unexposed side. In other words, the back of the bookcase and underneath the bottom of the drawers. Sure, the labels can be removed, you just have to be careful not to scratch the finish. - Finally, if you purchased more than one bookcase, don’t be arrogant as I was. When I assembled the second bookcase, even though it went much faster, it could have even been faster than it was. I seldom looked at the instructions and had to undo and redo some steps. For example, in step 13 I left the flat panel (6) off and installed the top (1). In step 16, I also left off a panel (19) for one of the drawers. I felt rather foolish looking at a perfectly squared drawer with no bottom. This one was very challenging to take apart.

Good choice for me
My 17-y-o grandson put it together for us. It took a few hours, but they didn't rush, nor were there any glitches. Directions were easy to read and accurate. Quality is very good for the price, and it served the interested purpose well.

Ladies, awesome piece but hire a handyman!
Difficult assembly, hire a handyman if you could afford it. I thought the previous reviews could’ve been over exaggerated, but 3 hours sounds about correct! Some people are better at this, but I’m not. I had to beg my brother to help and that’s not quite his forte either. I do want to say it’s totally worth it. But if you get easily frustrated, have children to care for and or have any back issues, save yourself the trouble and ask for help. I wish this would’ve had an Amazon installation option like most offer! As you can see, it came packed with many many pieces and looks discouraging. Drawers aren’t as deep as I would’ve liked, they are slimmer than I imagined but workable. Web description on product dimensions are correct so do your measurements. We must’ve tightened a screw TOO much on ours, it broke through and damaged a little but it’s hardly noticeable. (Our fault) Just be careful this doesn’t happen to you. I wasn’t missing anything. I like the sticker covers for the screws.. They thought of everything! As you know there’s 3 colors. Accurate to me, I got the dark oak and it looked just like the picture thankfully. I looked for a long time for something modern yet simple and delicate for the area, I saw a lot of them with cabinets underneath which were too traditional looking. I’m ultimately extremely happy with the piece. I have some decor on display and my hidden junk inside with easy to open drawers.

Solid bookcase/drawer option!
Okay, so I have scoured the internet for a product exactly like this, and it is nowhere to be found. Is it cheap? Yes. Does it look cheap? Also yes. But does it do exactly what it says on the tin? Again - yes. It is hard to find a bookcase/closed-storage combo unit that has a small footprint yet decent height, especially if you'd rather have drawers as opposed to cabinets on the bottom.... and you don't want to spend a fortune on such a solution. (If you're someone who's buying this type of furniture in general, you absolutely need a power screwdriver/drill, like multiple other reviewers mention. I promise it will pay for itself in 10 minutes. I was you 10 years ago, just bite they bullet and do yourself a favor - you won't use it just for this, but also for many other items.) In response to some other reviewer comments, I personally did not find the assembly directions more or less difficult than those for any other flat-pack furniture. I'm a petite female who's assembled a wide variety of home furnishings and while this item had more steps than some (due solely to the nature of the product - drawers + shelf unit), the schematics were no more or less difficult to understand than any other average product I've worked with. Protip: Like a recipe, read all of the directions, start to finish, before you touch anything else in the box. Get a sense of which steps go with which broader phases of assembly. Circle or highlight the pieces/fasteners needed for each step if that helps. Go slowly, triple check everything, and you'll be fine.

Beautiful
Absolutely love this!! It is beautiful. It is deep, so books I don't really read but are keepsakes have in the back, and have plenty of room for others to have handy/on display. It was fairly easy to put together. I could see 1 person building it, but it was certainly easier having 2 people.

Bien fait!
Très satisfaite. J'en ai acheté deux et les ai assemblé seule; les instructions sont simples.
