At first I was bummed that the smell was not anywhere close to my other Sun Bum products, it smells like plastic and not like coconut covered bananas. Having dry cheeks/forehead, I am always looking for new hydrating products to try. While I do have reactive and sensitive skin, this product didn’t irritate my face at all. I did feel a slight tingling which is probably because I’m so freaking dry in this Chicago winter, but no burning and no redness after use. The mask is a fun blue color. After 15 minutes it doesn’t dry down completely like a clay mask or something. Washing my face in the sink it always a pain in the butt, and it’s no different washing this mask off. You’re going to get water cascading down to the elbows every time lol. My skin feel soft after using, but I didn’t feel exceptionally hydrated. I didn’t feel like my natural oils had been stripped though and that is crucial since dry is my baseline. I follow this mask up with a hydrating toner and light moisturizer and I feel adequately hydrated then Fun to use, and happy to have it for days when I need a little moisture boost.
