Q: I want to buy for my 8 year old daughter... shes almost out of a 7-8 size in girls. should i go with a medium or large?

I bought a size small(4-6) last year for my then 6 year old. She was size 6/7. It fit perfectly. She is 55 lbs. 50 inches tall and it still fits. Hope this helps.

Very big on my 5 year old Grand Daughter. It was way to long and hanging off of her. The small fitted perfect.

My daughter was 6 years old at the time I purchased this costume. And she wore size 5-6. She is very slim too. I purchased size small in this costume and it fit great. The length was perfect too. It states its for USA sizes 4-6. I don't know how tall your daughter is for being 8 years old.
