This gadget is amazing to make perfect empanadas. It seals them perfectly. Use strategies that help your success using this gadget. 1. Buy quality empanada discs or make your dough so that it is not too soft. 2. Stretch empanada disc over the ridges on the edge of the gadget 3. Place your empanada press hanging over a cutting board for a super sealed empanada. 4. Gently remove the empanada from the empanada press. See my picture and video. 5. Separate your empanadas with wax or parchment paper before frying them.

as explained nice strong - yet the lever could have been made stronger

Compré este artilugio para facilitar el trabajo de hacer empanadas. Pero no funciona demasiado bien, si se pone la base de manera horizontal queda pellizcada en el centro y se rompe. Después de diez intentos volví a cerrar las empanadas de manera manual.
