While YES its incredibly bright and you can see everything it is too much for a small tank. There isn't a way to dim the light for less brightness and there isn't any night settings.Due to hoe bright and intense this light is it causes alge growth in my fluval 2.6 gal tank.I had a smaller light that allowed dimming and night settings that allowed me to keep my tank much cleaner.Let's put it this way I have had this light for 4 days in full with usually 8 hours of light on my tank. I did a tank scrub and clean with a half water change the day before getting the light. As you can see in my photo my tank IS clean as that was the same day I placed the light on my tank. Now 4 short days later I have brown alge growing on my plant leaves and the glass.This light is too strong for small tanks in my personal opinion. This is a light more for 10+ gal.Ita a great slim design and fits the fluval tank alright however it's too close to the water so any bubbles that come to the surface splash the light which will cause it to eventually retain moisture and quit working just as fast as you purchased it.So as an end result I will be sending this lamp back and getting one a that will be more beneficial for my nano tank build.

I don't like the fact that there is absolutely no way it clips on an aquarium..
