Is the metal used actual sterling silver? Does the metal turn your skin green atvall?

Not silver of any kind. My does not turn my skin green, but the color in the metal changed from any kind of sweat, water that might fall in it unfortunately. The area where St. Michael is and the cross are now dark in color.
