Convenient and simple to use.
This is first unit I ever purchased. It is surprisingly quite simple to use. I am impressed with the lancets. They don't hurt like I anticipated. I have tried other's and they didn't seem to work as well. It's nice to also have the option to test ketone's. All in one unit. Numbers appear to be accurate but I did not our children as the controlled test.

Works well but pricey
The strips that it uses are pricey but I I guess they are as good as any of them. This is the first time I’ve ever had to use a keto machine and it works great

Good meter, crappy lancet device.
I've had this meter kit for about a month now. The Lancet device is poorly made and crappy. It broke after a few weeks or about 15 uses. I have to precisely fit the Lancet in the device now so the damn thing doesn't stick out too far and hit bone. I'm looking on Amazon now to find a reliable replacement. Every thing else has been good.

Not as described
I'm pretty sure this was a used or at least an opened kit with the plastic put back on it. I also didn't get everything that was pictured or described such as the test strips and I only got a few Lansing tips nowhere near the massive amount it shows in the picture.

Easy to use, have to keep buying a few things for it.
Using it to help me monitor my ketone levels on the ketogenic diet. Easy to use, just wish the strips weren’t as expensive as they are! You need those and the tiny finger poke needle inserts so those are two things you need to keep a supply of. Glad to have it when I’m questioning if I’m “in the Keto zone” or not.

This came in good condition with all instructions and strips. It's great to have on hand to monitor my blood sugar and keeps me on the diet. Very simple to use and accurate.

SHOP AROUND FOR THE METER. LANCET DEVICE SUCKS. NECESSARY CALIBRATION SOLUTIONS NOT INCLUDED.
YOU'RE ABOUT TO GET RIPPED OFF. So I bought this one without shopping around for the same product. As of this writing on Thanksgiving Day 2017, you can find the EXACT same meter for about $30.00 on Amazon. As far as the accessories are concerned, (Ketone strips, extra lancets, alcohol wipes) That constitutes about maybe another $25 worth of value. Oh yeah, and you get no Glucose Test Strips. So the bottom line is this: I just paid about $110.00 for products that IF I HAD SHOPPED AROUND would have cost me less than half of that. Also the lancet device provided with the meter sucks. I set it to the lightest lance setting, (1), pulled the trigger and bruised the crap out of my finger. I got way more than the required droplet of blood. What's worse is that my fingers are pretty calloused. (I work as an industrial mechanic, so I'm pretty used to cutting/puncturing fingers.) Seriously, my finger is badly bruised on the end now. I have another meter with a different brand of lancet device that is WAY better and WAY smaller than the crap lancet provided with this meter. It is a One Touch Delica, that came with another Glucose meter, (A One Touch Mini) but I'm not sure that you can buy them separately. Great little lancet device. As far as the meter performance itself is concerned, After reading the user manual cover to cover, (Yeah, I'm that kinda guy) I found out that I need "Medisense Control Solutions" to calibrate the meter before you use it. (Yep, that's another $15.00 a pop.) You have to call 1-800-527-3339 to get it, but I think Wal-Mart also carries them. I'll write an update to this review in a few weeks after I get used to using it. All I'm saying is, if you buy it, you might want to buy it elsewhere for cheaper.

I've had it for 2 months and happy with my purchase
works exactly how I expected. I've had it for 2 months and happy with my purchase. I've been eating ketogenic for most of the time and this provides valuable feedback. I only use it a couple or three times per week just to give some idea of how I"m doing. I want to increase my metabolic flexibility (with ketone production, insulin sensitivity, and significantly lower glucose). This tells me if I've been successful in breaking through bottlenecks.
