When this box was delivered I was surprised how heavy it was. It was extremely well packaged to prevent dings and dents during shipping. The box is heavy and stiff, and of a great size. Gasket is pliable and well adhered to the lid, and the hing clamping locking handle applies very good pressure to insure a good seal. Paint was perfect. It is lockable and has built in little feet to protect the lid when you set the box down. I have no doubts this box is capable of decades of service. I really didn't want to spend $50 for a large ammo box, but I sure am glad that I did now that I've seen this level of quality. Buy one, or five. You won't regret it.I bought this for long term ammo storage and I'm storing CCI 36 grain 22LR in this case. It hold 45 100 round boxes...That's 4,500 rounds!!!

This thing is built like a tank and looks nice. The weight really shows the quality. Cost more than basic options but the construction quality justifies it. Works great for ammo storage or securing other valuables.

I drilled holes in the bottom and mounted it on the rear rack of my electric bike. It’s really stout. I store my lock and other things in there - plenty of room for your gear. And you can put a good sized padlock on it when going into a store. I removed the handle since I’m not carrying it. Also, I lined the inside with thin foam rubber to prevent stuff from rattling when I’m riding. Definitely recommend. (It would also make a great ammo box.)

It puts the heavy in heavy-duty. I was impressed by the weight. In my state, you need to lock your ammo seperately when traveling to the range and this is a serious ammo case! I like how it opens from the side instead of from the top giving you wide access. I don't have to dig around for something that might be on the bottom of a case that opens from the top. It was packaged well in bubblewrap with styrofoam in all of the corners and arrived in pristine condition. It cost a little more but I am glad I pulled the trigger.

Needed extra ammo storage. This fit the bill perfectly. Metal is very heavy gauge, feels about twice as thick as standard GI ammo cans. Secured it with a cable and a padlock. Simple and effective.

Nice ammo boxes. Great quality, weather proofing seal is excellent and comes with a good piece of foam. Bolted them down in my jeep for lockable storage. Perfect fit in the location I wanted extra storage. Low profile and wide👍Higher price for an ammo box but cheaper than manufactured jeep storage compartments

I bought this as alternative to the other cheap lockboxes being sold. This is a simple rugged water tight box that can secure your valuables. Or you can just use it as an ammo box. The other cheap lock boxes all have the same flaw, the lock. Since this doesn't come with one, you can pick a padlock that is suitable.

Works great for important papers. Has a hasp so you can lock it up.
