I will start this review with the disclosure that I actually love patchouli (the earthy scent can be a fantastic grounding component in sweeter perfumes). However, I have rarely been able to use patchouli without other fragrance or essential oils. This patchouli smells slightly blended (perhaps with Sandalwood... I'm not sure). However, it smells divine!! The reviewer who said she wanted to crawl into the bottle was stating the truth... I could have my house smell like this and be completely content. I also feel that this is a universally pleasing patchouli (as opposed to the pure essential oil, which can be off putting to some). Kudos to the company for a perfect patchouli scent.

These are by FAR the highest quality essential oils that I have ever used and they are the best price that I can find. I've been using these P&J esse till oils for years now and I swear by them for aroma diffusers, soap or any kind of crafts that require a high quality essential oil. I'd like to see them offer a carrier oil like jojoba. I've made my own blend of scents to put into rollers and I can't find anything like it anywhere. It's nice to be able to make such a one of a kind product for myself.

But after it settles in, it's the recognizable spicy woody scent. At first is smells like a piney, sappy type smell (which is essentially what it is) and then opens up to the normal patchouli smell. It's long lasting and I can smell it on my laundry weeks later.
