Quality piece of gear, worth the money.
I bought one of these to fit my hiking kit. It perfectly holds a 1qt military canteen with canteen cup, lid, and stove in the main pocket. I keep a fire starter kit and swiss army knife in one side pocket and some esbit fuel in the other. I've got can openers in the inside top flap pocket of the main compartment and a Vargo scork in the front utensil pocket. If I stick a pouch of food in a cargo pocket it gives me everything I need for a hot meal on a long day-hike. The shoulder strap is wide and comfortable, and the material is very well-made. Seams are solidly sewn, with no dropped or missing stiches. It's more expensive than a lot of canteen covers, but it does a whole lot more than just carry a canteen.

Versitile little pack that is excellent as a hip pack or even a chest rig. I recommend.
This is an odd little pack I had to buy. At first I wasn't even sure what to use it for but wanted it. Then I started to use it and found it was helpful in many ways. It's not a huge pack but it can fit a wide quart water bottle like a nalagene bottle with no issues. I found myself using as a hip belt pack on my side or front for my dog. water, a collapsable bowl....some treats, etc. When I don't feel like carrying a backpack with the dogs stuff. the other way I've used this and it's interesting but it works is as a chest rig on your backpack. when you're hiking/backpacking you often have to stop to get your water bottle if you don't have a hydration system with a tube. yes you can add a bottle holder on a hip belt but I chose to add this little pack so I have a quart of water and room for other things like a snack bar, etc. that I want at my finger tips. Exellent llittle pack. I would recommdend if you have a use for something like that.

Overall Great Day Bag
I was looking for a smaller bag to bring with me when I go for short hikes with my dog and after several people recommended the Helikon-Tex Bushcraft Kitbag I watched a review and decided to purchase it. As you can see in the pictures it has the main compartment, two front pockets, a pocket in the back and a shoulder strap. There is also a pocket inside the top flap and a small pocket in the front center which isn't really usable with a canteen inside. The bottom of the back pocket is Velcro which allows it to be “opened” and used to carry a hatchet. The main pocket fit my 28 ounce canteen with nesting stove and cup very snugly, in fact it was so tight I gave up trying to take it out and carried a piece of rubber tubing to use as a straw. After talking to a buddy, I bought the 39 ounce Pathfinder canteen and kit and it fit much better in the main compartment, as if the bag was made to fit the Pathfinder canteen. So the first point to consider is that if you don’t already have a Pathfinder canteen you’ll likely end up purchasing one to use with this bag. The pocket inside the top is small but large enough for a small first-aid kit. The two outside pockets are larger. In one I put some essentials which include: a phone charger, Essential/Fire kit, Swiss Army knife and mini prybar, sponge, dish soap, extra boot lace and toilet paper. The other outside pocket is what I use to carry my lunch and a couple of handwipes. The back pocket I use to carry an ESEE 4. I was concerned that, while hiking, my knife would eventually pop through the Velcro bottom and get lost on a trail so I made a custom sheath that securely attaches the knife and sheath to the D-ring. This is another point to consider when purchasing this bag, the back pocket is designed to carry a hatchet or something lightweight like folded up maps. The strap that comes with this bag is short, even when extended to its maximum length, it is too short to be comfortably carried crossbody. I believe the designers intended the bag to be carried with the strap slung over one shoulder, which I found gets uncomfortable after a few miles, so I added a shamagh for padding which makes a huge difference. I also attached a compass and braided some paracord on the strap just in case I ever need it. You may find that you need to add padding like I did or find a larger strap. I had a Maxpedition pouch I wasn’t using so I attached that to the front of the bag and use that pouch to store an epi pen, snacks, pen and flashlight. Overall I am very satisfied with this bag, very close to what I was looking for and, with a little customization, it works perfectly. The material and stitching are durable and the price was very good. Four out of five stars only because I think the main compartment should be an inch wider and the strap should be longer.

Bushcraft Survival Kit Bag - great container for EDC items, and then some
I have purchased a few of these kit bags. The bags are well-designed and well-made. My bags contain canteen, cup, cup lid, spork, BIC lighter (wrapped in duct tape), P51 opener, hexamine tablets in a tube, Gerber Multi-plier, a German version of a SAK, 33 lb. test bank line, a tube of boullion cubes, water purification tablets, Mini-mag flashlight. I added pouch to the back of the kit bag that holds a heavy duty space blanket (not the mylar ones) and a MRE entree. Topped it off with a rolled military poncho, cinched by straps through attachment points on the bottom of the kit bag. This kit has a great strap length (I'm 6'7", and the strap is long enough). Great storage capacity (again, a pouch can be added to the back of the kit bag). This is a most comfortable single carry rig for a canteen kit; trust me, these kit bags are well worth the money

Very, very well-made product.
One of my all-time favorites in my backpacking accessories. Made of great quality materials. I really like the pattern of the camo as they refer to it as being tiger stripe. Blends in well with my backpack great for a titanium water bottle and boiling accessories. Or can be used anything for anything that you could possibly need in your outdoor adventures.

Almost perfect on-the-go bag
All the seams appear well stitched and oughta last many years. Smaller than a haversack bag with the typical adjustable strap that accompanies almost all tactical gear. I found the Pathfinder School Canteen set too tight however, it is a perfect fit for the smaller Pathfinder School M34 canteen set. Lots of YouTube videos and how to pack it up. Excellent start to a grey man system.

Well made it bag update
The Helikon-Tex Kit bag I purchased is used for my Pathfinder canteen, cup, lid, and canteen stove kit. All items fit well in bag. Have not taken bag out hiking or camping yet so I do not know how well it will hold up under stress. My only concern and this is with all bags and pouches is the zippers; do they hold up to being filled with items and then when I run or jog, jump or climb, do the zippers split open or do they stay closed until you open them up your self? This is what I still need to test out on this Helikon-Tex Essential Kit bag. The kit bag top lid does not close all the way around the top of the canteen as you can see in the photos, I would like to keep dirt and debris out so an improvement in making the top lid longer on the sides would be nice. The adjustable buckle works well and secures the canteen. The side pocket carries my Pathfinder combustion kit and it fits well in the pocket with room to spare. The other side pocket I will most likely place a filtration devise and water tables. Because there is a back pocket in the inside of the kit bag I can place a spork, long spoon, with the canteen. With the exception of the lid being a little small around the sides for me, it is a very good canteen bag or general purpose bag.

Kwaliteit
Kwaliteit edc tas. Zelf gebruik ik hem voor mijn Pathfinder kookset. Kleine vakken aan de zijkant ideaal voor vuurset, flesjes olie en peper en zout. Mijn to go to tas voor koken in de outdoors

Great essentials bag
Essential? Actually yes! The bag is essential as much as the kit I keep in it. It’s a tardis, it hold lots of kit despite its size and it’s really tough. Well worth getting because it is likely to last ages. The more you use it the softer it get so it fits your stuff better, but it loses none of its strength. It’s idea as a small edc or get home kit bag. And if aesthetics mean anything to you it looks good too in real life, better than the picture. One more thing: you can actually wear this around your waist, great if you need your hands free for gathering tinder or kindling etc.

Ottimo prodotto!!
