I come from owning a beyerdynamic DT-990 and DT-660, and those are like clouds and I can wear them for hours and hours. With these the clamp is only a little tight, but the earpads are not super thick / fluffy. Coupled with the "on-ear" style, they give me a headache after an hour or 2. Update: the cords attached to these already broke (they are detachable, but one side still broke) - had to order an eBay cord replacement and dremel it down to fit in the headphones. Definitely not fun... but now they still work.
