The seven strains of bacteria are: Lactobacillus Plantarum, Lactobacillus Brevis, Lactococcus Lactis, Lactobacillus Acidophilus, Lactobacillus Fermentum, Enterococcus Faecium, Bifidobacterium Bifidum. There is added prebiotic Inulin in the base to support the growth of these bacteria to maximize the benefits of adding probiotics to your pets' gastrointestinal system. They are equal numbers of each strain and the total works out 3 Billion CFU per scoop, and 120 scoops per jar.

Seller: are there Live and active probiotic cultures in this? if so what do they feed on if there isnt any pectin or added ingrediants in this?

The active cultures do not 'feed' on anything as they are in a dehydrated stated. If they were growing in the jar then there would be no way to store them - eg: milk spoiling after a couple of days. They are in stasis and only start proliferating again when they are in the warm and humid conditions inside the gut. There is inulin (a complex sugar) which is a prebiotic that provides the gut bacteria the nutrition needed once they make it to the gut.
