I have a 17 lb 10 yr old dog that was diagnosed with Atypical Cushings Disease 2 yrs ago. The vet prescribed 20 mg Lignans for Life, 3 mg Melatonin, 1/2 tsp Omega 3 oil, Denamarine for her enlarged liver and 250 mg Ursidiol divided into 1/4ths twice a day ( total 1/2 pill per day for her gallbladder that has a mucocele (she will take it forever). Dogs untreated usually live about a year. She is 2 yrs out and gets labs every 6 months and the vet recently decided to raise her Lignans for Life to 30 mg a day since she has started some alopecia. Lignans for Life is a wonderful supplement and I am so thankful for the help it has given her. She is doing great, she's happy and loves going to the park everyday and short walks everyday too. Works as expected

My dog was diagnosed with cushings October 2018. She is 22lb. I started her on 10m of lignans and 3m of melatonin twice a day. By November/December I didn't think she was long for this world. By the end of January 2019 she started showing some improvement. By the end of February it was like a miracle. Seriously, I couldn't believe it. Today she is still doing really well. She still wants to drink more than she should, I can't really leave her more than 5, 6 hours at most because she needs to pee more and she still has bit of a pot belly, but apart from that she is living a full, happy life and hikes 7-8 miles with me easily. She is 12. In the last month or so she has been panting a lot and belly is more bloated but she's still happy and lively. She has a vet appointment next week. But whatever happens, I'm absolutely certain that the lignans and melatonin bought her two and a half years of good quality life. If your dog has cushings please try this rather than the perscription meds which my vet told me are very hard on the dog. Also you should give it up to 4 months to really start making a difference.

I'm writing this review to give potential customers the information the seller is not providing. The capsules are filled with powder. You can twist them apart to sprinkle the contents on your dog's food. (My dog does NOT object to the taste!) I called the company, and they told me the capsule shell itself provides no benefit so they can be safely discarded.I'm giving them 4 stars only because there's no way to know the quality of the HMR itself or it's efficacy. The FDA does no testing and has no jurisdiction over this kind of supplement. My little 4.5 pound Zo has Atypical Cushings, which HMR has a possibility of alleviating, so my vet (and the University of Tennessee) encouraged me to try it. I will come back in a reasonable time and let you know if it helps...I have high hopes that it will.** I just noticed a huge price increase.. I bought these July 9th for $14.99. Today on July 17th the price is $23.99. Wow.10/19/16 - edited to say: My little Zo has massive regrowth of her coat! I can't say for sure it's because of the Lignans, but that is the only thing that's changed in her medications or diet. Her coat has come back a softer and fluffier texture...much like an undercoat. Fine with me. It's much better than the completely bare skin she had in large areas. I recommend anyone that has a dog with a similar problem to give the Lignans a try... :)

Received the bottle but it was short about 10 caplets. Haven’t noticed and change in my dog but she hasn’t had but a few doses.

Seems to help my dog with her cushions disease. Less accidents.

This stuff is a lifesaver I've been giving it to my pup for Cushing's I did not want to go the conventional route too many side effects for the meds the vet was going to give her. It has been a month and she is doing much better already before Lignans HMR she was leaking everywhere she would lay , peeing at night ,so she had to wear a diaper all the time and she was drinking extensive amount of water. Now she's not wearing a diaper she still has an accident here in there and her water drinking is back to normal lignans with melatonin is a lifesaver I recommend anyone with a pup with cushions to give this a try . I just can't say enough about it I'm just amazed

Perfect additional supplement for my aging schnauzer.

My dog was prescribed this along with another supplement for a specific type of Cushings. This has helped him tremendously. I would highly recommend this product, he is feeling fantastic and acting like a young pup!

Giving it to my dog with Cushings. Along with melatonin and rescue remedy. It is working pretty well.
