Can it be used with a timer on one side?

Should not be a problem. Just make sure the lever on the side the timer is connected is in the open position and the water to the hose bib is on. The lever on the other side will be turned off in less you are using it for other watering needs. Remove splitter in winter as it will crack.

Can this be used with 3/4 inch hoses? I'm confused about hose sizes and connector sizes. Thanks!

Yes, it can be used with any size hose, however, you need the Gardena female quick release connectors for the hose end to hook up to the valve.

Anyone have issues with either this or the 4-valve leaking from inside the housing? Hose/faucet connections are good, but both are dripping water

We have owned the Gardena 38193 Dual Garden Hose Valve for about a year (have used in two spring and one and half summer seasons), but as stated we only connect it after all frost has passed and it does not leak.

mine is missing the connector at the top as shown in the picture. Did yours come with it?

Mine came with a connector to a standard outdoor tap, but was the same color as the body instead of a lighter gray as shown.
