Love this stuff! I bought it for my litter box room which is a small room with 3 litter boxes in it, and the adjoining bathroom, both of which distinctly smelled like litter boxes. They no longer smell like litter boxes!!! Plenty in the bag - I filled 2 containers pictured and still have about 40% of the bag remaining plus the scent refill vial. I also really appreciate the aesthetic of this potpourri! Looks great in my little turtle coconut bowl! I had a hard time choosing between the Pacific Isles and the Lemon Zest & Thyme scent because I appreciated the ocean decor theme of the Pacific Isles, which goes with my home decor, but I generally prefer citrusy scents over flowery or perfumey scents. I struggle with migraines and they are often triggered by perfumes/colognes. For this reason, I will probably switch to Lemon Zest & Thyme next time but I will probably keep some of the cute seashell decor from Pacific Isles! Pacific Isles is definitely on the flowery/perfumey side of the spectrum, but I think it is tolerable and will not trigger migraines (and certainly better than the delightful aroma of litter boxes!) - my other family members are happy with the scent and also love the aesthetic. Definitely will keep this on Subscribe & Save in a different scent!

First time leaving a review on Amazon and I buy ALOT of products on the regular from here so this is saying something. If I could give just the scent zero stars I would. Want to give an overall star rating of 2.5 for the product. Love the filler.. came intact, no broken pieces, looks great in the bowl. And I think it will last a very long time in my seasonal rotation. However, DEAR GOD the scent is unbearable. It came already drenched in fragrance and it caused more than 1 headache over a 2 month period, also irritating nose and eyes. It was so potent you could smell this damn thing throughout the house. I had to move it off the table and out of the room when we wanted to sit in there! Could not be in the same room as this, too overwhelming, so I was moving it room to room depending where we were at. Ridiculous. I ended up putting it outside on the patio (for more than a week!) on sunny days, letting it sit there for 8-10 hours directly in the sunshine to burn off the oil/scent. That worked. It can now sit on the table in the family room while we are around and not get sick from it, while enjoying how it looks. I feel the fragrance is toxic to the body and environment. I will NOT be using the oil it came with to refresh the bowl... EVER!

I've read many of the reviews so I believe the issue I have with it has to do with this particular package and the product within. As you can see there is a white coating to the shells: this is the fragrance. It was so overpowering I could smell it two rooms away and even then it was too heavy. I soaked them in dawn then rinsed them in vinegar to try and remove some of the scent to no avail. I put them out to dry in the sun (the photo) and the people on the sidewalk would ask what the smell was. It would have been better if they had not been coated and I could add drops of the fragrance.
