LENZ J1772 to NACS Adapter for Tesla and NACS EVs, 80A, UL 2251

Works great. Fits snugly and on fitment issues. Worked like a charm for our recent trip on my 2022 Tesla Model S to connect to ChargePoint chargers.

I use these adapters to charge Teslas at our dealership -our level 2 chargers all have J-plugs. They work perfectly every time with no issues at all. They are VERY durable - they have been dropped onto the pavement and have not cracked or been damaged. Highly recommend!

Update 05/23/2023: It melted on a different volta at 48A. There was another plugshare review that the same volta melted someone else's official tesla adapter. Thus I can't blame this unit for melting. Original review: My original Tesla/J1772 adapter that came with the car melted onto the handle of a Volta charger. Volta replaced the handle on their unit. This item did not get hot on undamaged chargers up to 48A (40A is very common). This unit weighs 182g, while a brand new tesla unit weighs 176g. Thus Lenz didn't cheapen the product by removing material. If there is a charger that melted your original Tesla unit, then its likely it will melt this unit too. Thus don't use chargers known to melt adapters. However, on known good chargers, this adapter works as well as the OEM version at least up to 48A. The only fit and finish issue is the lock latch seems to bind a bit when pulling it out of the car. This is very minor if you pull it straight out (vs with an upward angle, which makes the binding worse).

I have had to use this product twice in emergencies where there was not a tesla super charger and each time it got stuck on the non tesla charger. It required great effort to remove the device. This most recent time, today, we almost left it at the charging station. Maybe there is something wrong with the fit of the one we have? Unfortunately, the first time we used it was well out of the return by date, or else we surely would have. I would look elsewhere for this device.

The LENZ worked perfectly to convert the J1772 output of m;y level 2 charger to the NACS that I needed to plug in my Toyota C-HR. Also the price was right!

I bought this adapter to use on my new Toyota BZ and it works fantastic.I have owned it for a few weeks now but waited to write a review after using it for a while so that my review would be based on use..Its much cheaper than the toyota one and works just fine.It doesn't heat up and unplugs from vehicle easily.So if your worried about incompatibility with toyota I can verify it works fine.
