When I first turned this on,m was I surprised! This lightbeam is strong! it lit up articles clear across a 30" room. Used it to trace water leak using UV reactive invisible dyes. GO NO FURTHER has 2 spectrums 365nm and 405nm, truly and the LEDS are as claimed strong as hercules. So good I just ordered another to keep for traveling. I was nervous when wife said-check our bathroom, and we found - not a drop. However if you want some hilarious fun guys, just leave lights off when going #1, and turn on this flashlight and point at toilet bowl, then GO! Be careful, you will laugh so hard, you might just miss the bowl. Seriously this is one powerhouse of a light in a small penlight form factor. My only criticism is that I wish it had a lanyard-that would be perfect.

I bought this to find cat pee on my floors. I was fostering a bunch of kittens and they weren't potty trained yet and peed all over the place. It works well on white floors, fabric, and carpet. The cat pee glows neon yellow. The flashlight isn't that strong so you need to dim the lights or turn them off completely. For some reason, the UV light does not make the cat pee show on hardwood floors. I recommend this flashlight over the cheapo ones from china. It'll last you a while. I used this in the bathroom just for fun. It wasn't that bad as the other reviewers had put it haha. Guess my bathroom's relatively clean? My face however was another story. All my oily pores glowed neon orange! =(

I have had several flashlights from Inova. I was particularly interested in this one because it has a UV beam. Like other Inova flashlights, this light is durable, well-built and performs as described. The finish is great and looks well made. The UV light is good for finding pet stains, AC leaks, oil leaks, scorpions. It is small and compact. It does pick up a number of things that glow in UV; however, it does not pick up everything that it should. It may be that the UV wavelenght is not right or that there is some visible light that is overshadowing the UV.

Never having owned a portable UV light before I was not ready to see what I did. You think your house is clean? Hah. That Is a lie. This UV light is very bright, (compared to UV lights) and should be treated with caution. Do not point it at your eyes, it hurts. Do not use it as a method of drying glue faster, it is a waste of expensive batteries. Do not try to tan with it, I became blue and joined the blue man group. There are no more positions available. Do not try to use this light to stun an intruder. They will look fabulous in the light, but you won't be defended. This is a very well made light, and it is a part of my med kit because of its ability to sterilize an abrasion, and locate blood. I do recommend this light!

the first uv lite i ordered i returned, because the on off button did not work. had to unscrew the bottom to shut it off. but it did switch between the two modes of light power. i ordered the uv lite which came today. this one only has one light power the highest and to shut it off you have to slightly unscrew the base.

So there I was, asleep, peacefully dreaming of warm seaside cabanas and and 3rd gear pulls on the highway with the windows down, when I was rudely awoken by a tickling on my back. Something, was in my bed. Not a good something mind you, and it was intruding on my dreams of freedom. So there I am, no glasses on, bedroom dark, neighbor snoring loud enough to be heard through the walls, grasping for the beastie that has decided I am a midnight walking path. Now, the next part is a difficult sensation to describe for anyone who has not experienced it. At first, it feels like dry leaf. A little textured, but still smooth between the ridges, hard, and glossy. Then the unsettling part begins. The "leaf" moves. At first you'll feel something squirming against your finger while two small somethings pinch your thumb. Then, you'll feel the "stem" of the leaf wrap around your finger as if it's trying to become a ring. Then comes the liquid fire that slides down your hand. This flaming hot handful of awful will cause you to fling the "not-a-leaf" across the room while shouting, "JESUS ******* CHRIST!" as your medulla dumps pure adrenaline into your blood stream. Thereafter, I was awake, scouring my bedroom for the seething hate beast that had injected me with its organic jabber of burning. About ten minutes later, having not found the crispy, stingy turd, I have begun scouring the internet looking for clues. I soon realized that I have been victim of a bark scorpion and I needed to acquire some tools. Namely, rubbing alcohol, q-tips, duck tape, a meter stick, and a UV light. Most of this I find at my local hardware store, but the light, I find from Nite-Ize. A sleek, satin steel beauty called the Inova X5. It arrives in 2 days and that very night, I go on the hunt. One end of my meter stick covered in duck tape, the other with an alcohol soaked q-tip taped to it. I don my tactical converse, gym shorts, and cut-off polo shirt. For added effect, I tie a bandanna around my head Rambo style, and then it's the classic case of, "Bravo Six, Going Dark." The lights off, the X5 cuts a swath across the Jackson Pollock-esque house. ("We cleaned it for you!" my left shoe.) I sweep the living room first. The only Scorpion I find is the 1984 album "Love at first sting." The kitchen, bathroom and office are all empty as well. Though I leave them making a mental note to buy a carpet cleaning in the near future and use a bit more bleach in my scrubbing regimen. The hallway is the cleanest place in the house, but I see where the previous tenet had hung some pictures and spackled over the nail holes. The bedroom door opens with a whisper. At first glance, the room is clear. Then I see it. I attack the glowing two inch monster with the q-tip, trying to get it to sting itself, but the alcohol must have dried as it turned and started towards me, its hideous venom needle curling like a wicked spear. I swear it laughed at me. It was all fun and games until I stuck it with the duck tape, pinning it against the adhesive. I carried it's motionless form into the kitchen, glowing as it was under the X5's all-seeing beam, and submerged it in a bowl of alcohol. I think I saw a flash of green light and could swear I smelled sulfur and brimstone as fiddle music played somewhere. I left the horrible beast there, immersed in alcohol, as I triumphantly strutted around the kitchen. Victorious. NO MORE SCORPION STINGS FOR ME! I sleep soundly at night knowing the X5 is there, waiting, ready, watching my back so I may dream again, in peace, of beaches and open highways. Long story short, use any other light, and you may feel the liquid fire that is... THE BARK SCORPION.

Looking for a durable uv light for auto dye inspection. Like this design have one that is the same construction but white light and it works well. So I ordered this one. Well built, no where near 30' of throw. this is a 1 footer at best when looking for uv leaks. However I only got one use out of the energizer lithium batteries included. I am familiar with the operation of this tool s I have a white light counterpart. I unscrewed the cap till the light was off and the push button would not activate. I put it in the draw next to its twin which has a set of stream light batteries from last year and still works and in two days I went to get it, and its dead. Not pleased these cr123 batteries are expensive. Over all not impressed at all. Another brand name flashlight that will get tossed in a drawer. Back to streamlight for me.

Au bout de deux ou trois ans la puissance a diminué au point d'atteindre la puissance d'une lampe à 10 balles... Changer les piles (hors de prix) n'y change rien. Donc beaucoup trop cher pour la qualité
