Happily, almost 3 million of those pets are welcomed into new "forever families". Comfort for Critters creates handmade blankets which are given, free of charge, to animal shelters across the US. These simple blankets provide comfort to the homeless pets in the shelter, and then help ease their transition into their forever home when they are adopted.
