If you have never investigated what is in your dogs food, and you think it is all about the same...READ THIS ! All dry dog food is NOT good for your loved pet, and it is NOT the same. MANY major brands of dog food, including most that are sold at local grocery stores are not good for your pet. Yes...they will survive on them...and yes...they might like the taste, but investigate ! Useless calories, fillers of cereal husks, and other trash are typical ingredients....and....the PRIMARY incredients. Wellness...and some other brands....all of which will cost you more than the cheap brands, are made with chicken, lamb, or other animal products as their MAIN incredient, which will be the FIRST one listed on the label, by law. This is by far the best food for our 6-year-old German Shepherd. 2-3 years ago he developed EPI (exocrine pancreatic insufficiency), & after ongoing problems with vomiting & diarrhea, we were at our wits end. Finally, we went to a vet who recommend trying a simple, low fat food - just a commercially available, high quality weight control formula. We were originally on Eukanuba weight control formula, but wanted something with better quality ingredients. Enter Wellness Super5Mix. Luke loves this food & has no problem snarfing it down come mealtime. He's actually gained weight (which he needed) on this food & is back to his normal, heathy weight. I think he digests & absorbs the Nutrients from this food better than a lot of others we've had in the past. We don't have to feed him as much of this food due to the higher nutritional quality. Overall I think he will be on this food for life. It works very well for him & we couldn't be happier.

So glad I could find this on Amazon. Saved more than $10.00 off of regular retail price at all of my local pet stores. My dog has been sick, in part due to regular name-brand dry foods. Too many additives and by-products hidden behind a "healthy" label. Wellness allows me to feed my dog food that will not make her sick. I can pronounce the ingredients and she loves the Healthy Weight Recipe, despite it being a "diet" formula. As a dog living with colitis, limiting fat and increasing fiber intake is vital to her IT health. This food makes it easy and she still regards it as a treat six months after starting to eat it in her bowl. She is a finicky eater, and I have spent hundreds of dollars on various "diet" foods from the vet and pet boutiques. This was the first formula she liked right out of the bag. What a relief! Five star product!

I adopted by a small little fat chihuahua back in Nov 2007. The pet shelter at the time gave me an estimated age of 3-4 at the time. My veterinarian confirmed his age to be 20 last year when she looked at his teeth, did some blood work etc... My dog has ONLY eaten this for his food for the past 16 years. Yes, sometimes I mix wet food with dry food if he has had some stomach issues, has gotten sick, and has an empty stomach. Earlier in his younger days I did give him some treats here and there when he would do something good, take him for a walk, etc.. But this food has been nothing but AMAZING. I HIGHLY recommend this product to everyone. Yes my dog who still has some teeth, still eats this twice a day!

My older dog loves this food. Her age and knee problem has taken away her ability to go on her walks and she had been putting on a little weight. I was a little unsure about feeding her a weight management food. But she loves the taste and seems to have a satisfied tummy. She has also lost some weight in the two months that she has been on this food. The only reason for the 4 star instead of 5 is the cost. We were used to feeding her a high quality (high price tag) dog food but this bag of food has less product. But it is worth it.

Has helped my Cavalier King Charles that has suffered from acute pancreatitis. Best rated food I could find and much less cost on Amazon than all the local pet stores..Latest update , Speck had his senior blood work at the vet last week of February and such good news ! All his blood work came back completely normal . No high numbers showing any sign of pancreatitis. We have had Speck on Wellness since learning of the pancreatitis after doing research on the web of every brand that was low-fat. Remember with pancreatitis you should find the minimum fat , and maximum fat numbers . Wellness complete health healthy weight food lists the min/max on their website. Not many dog food companies list both fat numbers. Thanks to Wellness we have a very healthy and happy little buddy.

Quality is good!! My dog luvs it!! I soak it in water overnight. She'll only eat soft food

Our little dog has a sensitive stomach, and most food cause all kinds of gastrointestinal distress, itching and skin allergies. This food keeps her healthy and well fed, without the need of any medications to regulate her allergy problems. We feel as though those problems only present when she is fed a diet of cheaper dog foods. She has been on this kibble by itself for about 5 years without any allergies/skin issues and no gastro issues. We recommend this food for any small dog with sensitivity to other diets.
